| TreborWhip (12), Reading, Pennsylvania | | November 17, 2009 Nice brewpub with a nice bar but the dining area was rather plain. Food was well prepared and portions were generous. We shared 2 samplers so we were able to taste 10 different ales/lagers. Nice gift shop in the back. Bought an awesome growler filled with Golden Monkey that I shared with my family the following afternoon. | | savnac (57), Palmer, Alaska | | October 20, 2009 Big clean place with a big bar. We were seated off the beaten path and the service suffered a bit because of it. Got a sampler of great beer and a few appetizers, the best of which was the pretzel. They had a ton of beers on tap, probably around 20. After wards we went to the gift shop and bought a couple of 750ml’s and 22 oz’ers. Overall a great place and would go out of my way to stop in again. | | jbender (18), Hatboro, Pennsylvania | | September 20, 2009 Have been to victory a couple times over the last few months and I must say that it is a great place to sit back with your friends and enjoy their beer. Their food is good not great and it is slightly expensive, but the dining area is very nice (I was able to eat inside an old fermenter) and being able to choose from ~15 of their brews is awesome. Being 40 min away, it is a great place to go for special occasions. | | beerbill (43), Laurel, New York | | June 25, 2009 My family and I stopped in for dinner on our way down to Lancaster. I had mixed feelings about the ambiance. The use of copper kettles as decorative items is very cool, and the place has a modern industrial look. The space is incredibly cavernous and is very noisy, probably one of the loudest restaurants I’ve ever been in. Great selection of beers. I didn’t count them all, but there had to have been twenty or more beers featured on the list in a wide variety of styles. The food was good for the most part, although my wife’s pizza dough was a bit undercooked. We’ll be stopping in again on our next visit to the area! | | WeeHeavySD (102), San Diego (Hillcrest), California | | June 23, 2009 This place is massive. Went in, had a bunch of their non-bottled beers in a nice inexpensive sampler format. Overall a cool place with an inerteretsing family vibe for a big brewpub restaurant. | | jredmond (37), New Jersey | | June 8, 2009 [ Updated June 23, 2009 ] The Brewpub seems to be maintained very well. Everything is very clean, menus are up to date, and the bar has a great Brewing Vat design. You may have to wait a bit to be served, however the friendly staff makes up for it. A few CBC brews on tap along with a slew of other Victory Beer. The brewery tour is short, informative, and free. One of the best qualities has to be the value of this place. The majority of samples are $1 and the growler refills are cheap. I plan on visiting this place again. Awesome. | | Pwn3d (39), Manhattan, New York | | June 7, 2009 Went here with JRedmond, DeputyAndy and others. Large facility, clean and very well put together. The dining area is massive with an ample young staff, all of which were very friendly, although not entirely the best @ service (decent wait to order). Food was slightly above average. Bar located in the back. Large bar with maybe 25 offerings, several brewpub exclusives kept things exciting. Samples are available. Prices are very reasonable, borderline dirt cheap. The brew tour was a nice addition to the visit and I would recommend it especially since it’s free. Tour guide was knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions. This brewery really has its ducks in a row. I had a great time. 83 | | yemenmocha (63), Glendale, Arizona | | April 18, 2009 Large, spacious area for dining with a cute gift shop are nice here. Location is somewhat hard to find on the first visit - basically in a warehouse like area, not prime commercial retail location.
Beer quality and selection are hard to beat. The harder to find Victory ales are usually available, especially the seasonals. This place has quite a following, and the mood here is always upbeat and pleasant. Gift shop has decent selection with reasonable prices.
| | hunter112 (11), Nanuet, New York | | April 12, 2009 A wonderful tour (if you can have Matt lead it, he will amuse you greatly!) followed by a great meal. Everyone here is friendly, from the waitstaff to the gift shop guys. The prices are astoundingly reasonable for top quality food. Here in suburban NY, you really have to suffer with average beer more often than not if you want great food, at Victory, you get it all. The most expensive entree was $21, but more than half of what they sold went for ten bucks or less. The onion rings are a definite winner!
This may not be the place for you if you are kid-averse, it seemed like every fourth visitor brought along a tyke. But it wouldn’t surprise me if this were the very best restaurant in Downingtown, and with the prices and the kid-friendly atmosphere (kid menus, arcade, and toddler hi-chairs) I don’t blame families for coming here for a getaway from the ordinary. | | keepersj12 (20), Sicklerville, New Jersey | | March 4, 2009 Come here for the beer. The selection is great and they will give you samples. I was able to get about 15 small samples of about 2 ounces each per my request. The food was good. Mostly bar fare like wings and burgers. I sampled the wings and fish and chips. Both were very good. I had a young waiter who was very attentive, they just never cleared the plates or glasses. Definitely worth a visit. |
