Cirrhosis (2), Edmonton, Alberta does not count - explanation | | August 26, 2009 best selection in Edmonton by far. but if you shop around you’ll find they are a couple bucks more expencive | ZTO (4), Alberta does not count - explanation | | August 3, 2009 the location of the store is in a tiny strip mall off of a traffic circle "quadrant". the ambiance in the store is just fine, however other businesses around it are not the most inviting looking. which leads to the surprise inside. amazing selection of beer. and they recently busted a wall down to increase the size of the cooler room. best selection of beer around. most of the staff are knowledgeable on their product line. if not, they talk to someone that does. prices are reasonable, although some stuff is maybe 5-10% cheaper elsewhere. great to see gift sets for beer. | | goatboy (16), Alberta | | January 29, 2009 This has to be the biggest selection of beer in Alberta. the staff are helpful, if your in Edmonton this is the place to find lots of craft and micro brews, Great selection of European brews as well | JoeZasada (2), Beaumont, Alberta does not count - explanation | | July 23, 2007 The biggest selection of beer I’ve seen anywhere in Alberta. I work just down the street from it, so if anything it’s a little "too accessible"!
Highly reccommended... | brewgirlca (2), Edmonton, Alberta does not count - explanation | | September 30, 2006 The best selection of beers in Edmonton and probably Alberta. They carry every beer listed by the Alberta Liqour Commision that is possible to be carried by a beer store. The owner is a collector and he wants everything that he can get and more. The walk in cool room is a great touch in what is otherwise a pretty staid ambiance. Great hours - open till 2:AM every day of week. Big parking lot. Staff are perhaps not as knowledgeable as they should be but they are friendly and try hard to please. The place to go if you know beers and want the best selection possible. | | pintbypint (18), Edmonton, Alberta | | August 11, 2006 [ Updated February 18, 2007 ] Impressive selection, the best I’ve seen in Edmonton so far. Beers are kept in a walk in cooler and loosely arranged by country. Lots of singles, bombers and 750s as well as 4 and 6 packs, as well as your usual selection of mainstream products and a few ciders. Some gift sets are also available. New beers arrive almost every week. Prices are reasonable. Worth seeking out. | | DuffMan (96), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | April 19, 2006 I pulled into this very unassuming small store located in a plaza on my way to work in St. Albert. The drawing card was a sign that read "378 different beers in stock". In actuality, there are over 400 different kinds of beers to be found in this hidden gem of a store! Pretty much every western Canadian craft/micro is here, as well as a huge number of imports from all around the world, and many are available as single bottles at incredibly reasonable prices. All beer are kept in a giant walk-in cold room. The owner takes exceptional pride in his collection, and he will point out the latest acquisitions and new products with enthusiasm. This is a place that may be tucked out of the way for many people, but if you are hunting for something new or hard to find in the beer world in Alberta, this store is probably your best bet. I continue to be a loyal customer. |
