This is quite hard to find. It’s just outside of a shopping centre. And it doesn’t say Slijterij van Bergen anywhere, only Mitra. But when you find it it’s rewarding. Excellent selection of Belgian and Dutch beers. Some rarities included. Some German, American and so on too. Also glassware available.

Absolutely excellent selection, making the trip to this near-unfindable place more than worthwile (remember, do take a GPS with you!). Place is poorly indicated too. I wonder how to rate "ambiance" for what looks like a nightshop for all the world, but the contents of the shelves adequately compensate for that. I like this store very much. It is next to a giant supermarket, but the store itself is warm and friendly. The staff is very helpful and passionate about beer.
The owner is very enthousiatic. Besides many seasonals and Dutch micros there is also a big selection of Belgian beers. Also german, english and even U.S.

Excellent drinks shop with a good selection of beers, including De Molen, various Danish (Amager, Mikkeller) and some obscure regional micro’s. Enthousiastic owner, who was friendly enough to withhold Horal geuze for me when I emailed him. Also an online store.

Thanks to SHIG for the card to this place. Drove up here today and was impressed. It’s located in front of a shopping center which can be confusing. Fairly large store with equally large wine and spirit section. Tons of beer available, English, Belgian, Dutch, and German, as well as some United States brews. Carried Westy 8 while I was there as well as the best stock of De Molen beers I have seen(although I have yet to visit the brewery.) The only downside I have to this place is the prices are slightly high. 7.99-12.99euro for 75’s. I was on the search for Dutch Micros and I hit the jackpot here. Not to mention their vast selection of Belgiums, Germans, and U.S. beers. The staff was awesome talked to me about everything, gave tips, and suggestions. Also can’t help but say he gave me three free beers and a glass from one of the breweries I bought beer of. A small but well-sorted Mitra bottle shop next to a big discount store. Besides many seasonals and Dutch micros one can find a decent selection of Belgian beers, but don´t expect to find rare Lambics or Gueuze. The staff is charming and helpful. Smaller bottle-shop (beer, wine, spirits) on the edge of town besides a big supermarket mediocre belgian selection, good selection of Dutch seasonals and Dutch micros friendly and helpful staff worth a detour. |
