microbrew (1), , does not count - explanation | | September 29, 2009 This place has quite a few selections. Depending on the day of the week and, apparently, who you are, you get fairly decent service. However, after a year of patronizing this store, I was banned. It wouldn’t be so bad if I knew why, but no reason was provided except that it was his store and he could pick and choose to whom he provided service. Since I did absolutely nothing wrong other than browse, I can only assume the worst about this store. Their unfair treatment of the public causes me to not recommend this store. | JediMindTricks (4), Hampton, Virginia does not count - explanation | | September 14, 2009 Nice located, close to I-95, south of Baltimore. One of the best selections in Maryland . New beers everytime I go in. Prices are pretty good too. Friendly and helpful staff that seem to know what their talkin bout. | seanroto (1), Maryland does not count - explanation | | July 19, 2009 easy to get to as its just off of 175 and 1-95. The beers are in the back and sort of organized by amercan beers on the back wall and foreign beers on row of shelves that are alsonear the back wall. lots of cases everywhere though. beers are mostly kept by brewery so its easy to find. and they have helpful rating markers touting certain beers. Staff was extremely helpful once they saw what i had already picked out and offered me many other choices saying if you like this you will also like that..etc. I will diffidently return and make it one of first choices for finding good beer. great selection of seasonals | | mwelsh13 (23), Maryland | | July 11, 2009 Easy to get in and out. Great section in the space that they have. They are expanding which is good for all sections of the shop. They have a great selection that is less than 50% American. Also, there is a pretty good big bottle selection of 1.5L and 3L. Some cold, but mostly BMC. Rivals Stateline in a much smaller shop. Decent glassware selection.
As a note: Fatburger next door has great burgers, fries and onion rings. | | guzzler67 (25), Hanover, Maryland | | February 8, 2009 Well located, close to I-95, south of Baltimore but not that far from DC. One of the best selections in Maryland that seems to grow every time I visit. New arrivals all the time. Prices are comparable for the area. Get on their e-mail list for a weekly update that usually includes a coupon. Friday and Saturday tastings (both beer and wine) with brewer reps. Friendly, helpful staff. | mckeowbc (1), , Maryland does not count - explanation | | September 6, 2008 Huge selection, but the prices are a bit high. Still if you can’t find it here, you can’t find it in Maryland, period. | pik5el (1), Pasadena, Maryland does not count - explanation | | July 14, 2008 This place is a hidden gem that I just discovered. The owner is a very nice and helpful man, and he said they just opened the store 4 months ago. Well, they are certainly doing something right! One of the best selections I have seen anywhere. Well stocked does not do it justice. The customer service, warmth, and enthusiasm of the whole staff were great. Many beers I haven’t been able to find elsewhere, including many rare styles. More imports than anywhere else in the area, and the craft selection is advertised to be the largest in the state. I believe it. | | hopscotch (152), Vero Beach, Florida | | June 29, 2008 Well-stocked store with an extremely enthusiastic, if not overwhelmingly knowledgeable, staff. Terrific selection of imported and domestic craft beers. Nice selection of Belgians, gueuzes and lambics. Any six pack can be broken. Reminds me of the one and only reason I regret leaving the Washington/Baltimore metro area... selection, selection, selection. | FatguyRacer (4), Crownsville, Maryland does not count - explanation | | June 27, 2008 I finally found this place. It’s like Mecca. But for beer lovers. There was so much to choose from, it was hard to pick something. I was like a kid in a candy store. The best part of the place is that its so easy to get too since its 5 min from my office. Joy! | | gpekar (12), Maryland | | June 13, 2008 [ Updated February 12, 2009 ] Recently was in the area and stopped in. The beer selection has grown since the last time I was there and a very good selection of US craft beers, seasonals and imports of all kinds. Pretty good selection, but the prices are slightly above average.
last weekend 6/6/08 they had their official grand opening even though the store has been open for a couple of months. I was there the first day it was open just by chance and at that time they had just started stocking the shelves. The place is fairly large with a wide selection of beer and wine. The selection seems to get more and more each week. They have beer and wine tastings every weekend. The beer selection is pretty good and as mentioned by others you can make your own 6 with anything 12oz on the shelves at 10% off. The prices are pretty good, but its a mix. Some things are cheaper and some a little pricier than other places. Sign up for the email list to get a heads up on the tastings for the upcoming weekend. The website is under construction. |
