6 reviews for Mo’s Wine and Spirits
antnee1515 (2), Connecticut does not count - explanation | | July 30, 2009 Great "surprise" store. By that I mean, you need to visit every so often to discover what they have in stock (in regards to beer). | | Bungalo22 (22), Bridgeport, Connecticut | | January 21, 2008 [ Updated February 23, 2008 ] Couldn’t ask for a better local beer store. Really big and something new to keep me occupied each time I go. Everything from top notch American beers to some good stuff from over the pond. I’d have to say it is the best in the Bridgeport area of Connecticut. | | Pwn3d (38), Manhattan, New York | | October 19, 2007 Great overall selection with insightful staff. The wine selection is impressive, but who cares about that? They offer mixpack 6packs with an decent selection, tons of victory, rogue, hooker. They also arrange there singles by way of location from Maine to Cali. They is not a whole lot you cant get here... if they dont have it they will order it no questions asked. They were willing to order me Labatt Maximum Ice from Canada for me. | | jredmond (37), New Jersey | | April 16, 2007 [ Updated November 10, 2007 ] I went to Mo’s Wine and Spirits while visiting a buddy at Fairfield University. They had a great selection...one of the best selections I have seen, if not the best. Better than both the discount liquor outlet shops near my home. ROGUE DFH VICTORY and tons of belgians. Great place for beer, and hard stuff as well. | | Cletus (175), Connecticut | | December 18, 2005 [ Updated February 10, 2006 ] I was really surprised when I walked into this place as it used to be a deep discount liquor store that only stocked swill. That has definitely changed. The first set of coolers stocks some great locals and there are 2 1/2 full rows of bigger beers. I picked up Newport Storm ’05 and Allagash Odyssey while there. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
Update 2/10/06: Beware of this place if looking for limited releases. They set low limits and give people the impression they have lots in stock, but do not volunteer that information if you call them up to ask about the availibility of a certain wine/beer. This practice lowers my service rating to a 1. I doubt I’ll be back after that. If a place is going to set limits, they should be very clear about that if someone calls asking about a particular item. Not say they have lots in stock giving the impression it’s there for the buying. | | IMtheOptimator (33), Bethel, Connecticut | | November 14, 2005 Took a trip down here to check it out. Great selection: Rogue, Thomas Hooker, DFH, Victory, Goodies from England, Germany, and Belgium. Pretty much all the best stuff available to CT. Staff was helpful, knowledgable, and courteous, and I’m sure my rambling took up way too much of their time. Great advocates for getting good beer into Connecticut. If you’re in the area, this is a must-stop. |
