kangaroo (2), Everett, Washington does not count - explanation | | November 23, 2009 Very nice place to get singles! Staff always helpful. Prices are reasonable and the selection is excellent. | | Nena (13), Seattle, Washington | | August 26, 2009 [ Updated September 25, 2009 ] A bottle shop with a huge selection. I appreciate that they sell everything in singles, which allows me to taste lots of individual bottles without buying any packs. Maybe I’ve been lucky, but during my visits the staff has been friendly, knowledgable, and willing to chat and give honest opinions. I like that this place is right off the highway and easy to get to, plus has ample parking. | | MrRoss (13), Delta, British Columbia | | July 8, 2009 Fairly easy to find, friendly and knowlegable staff, and an overwhelming selection. Prices are reasonable. | | SuzyGreenberg (25), Seattle, Washington | | May 28, 2009 This is a sweet "little" bottle shop located in a nondescript strip mall in nondescript Federal Way; probably 80% are in well organized and labeled coolers with great selection, prices; a small quirk in the system means quite a few brews are available here, but not in Seattle; nice selection of glass and big bar that hosts tastings; customer service is excellent with quick announcements of special brews, willingness to order for you, etc; these guys have it down and I only wish it was a little closer | Bier brauen (9), Bremerton, Washington does not count - explanation | | February 13, 2009 They might have rare beers, but first define what is "rare" beer? Hard to find? Yes Old vintages, I don’t know. :) | Prymal (1), Kennewick, Washington does not count - explanation | | August 4, 2008 This is a great Northwest Gem, it is in a great easy to find easy to park location. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. With as they say over 850 beers there is something for anyone. Even my wife who does not drink beer found something of interest. Just based on selection and easy of access i will be going here for all of my beer needs. | | AmEricanbrew (77), Doing Rogue, Louisiana | | July 12, 2008 Nice, clean, well organized store. Huge Northwest craft beer selection, now including Ninkasi from Oregon, which i have not seen before in Wa. They get some beers from a distributer in Vancouver, who carries brews not available to King County wholesalers. Prices are on par with Seattle area bottle shops. Only thing lacking here is a decent lambic selection, no 3 Fonts, Cantillon, Boon or Fantome in the store. Too many BMC swillers in South King Co. i suppose. Overall a great beer store and well worth the drive from Seattle or other far off locations. | dirt55 (8), Washington does not count - explanation | | May 28, 2008 [ Updated August 1, 2009 ] Very large selection (they say 850) of pretty much half domestic micros and half imports. pretty surprised with how reasonable the prices were considering the location and the selection offered, staff wasn’t as friendly as expected, but knowledgeable when asked about products (not to say he wasn’t unfriendly...just there.) Will go back many times.
*updated review. Will not go back again. Same guy who was spoke of above was a complete A$$ this last visit. When asking about if they had a certain brand or if they had a certain style every answer with given with a "duh..what are you an idiot" attitude. And trust me...they were not common questions...i wasn’t asking for Budweiser. Not worth the insulting service just for 6 pack. | | robforbes (18), Bremerton, Washington | | April 8, 2008 excellent place!!! being that i live 64 miles away and there is not much to choose from on the kitsap pennisula, i’ve been there 5 times and each time is enjoyable. the prices are very reasonable, and the staff and owners are always helpfull. | | theisti (114), Leawood, Kansas | | March 19, 2008 Visited right before closing time on a Wednesday night. Peter, who helped me, was good about allowing me to take my time, and pointed a couple of beers he thought I would like. As mentioned by others, this store is laid out nicely, with plenty of space to move around. Really nice selection of local micros, certainly on par with Bottleworks. For reference, this took me about 15 minutes from the Seattle airport. |
