| tgncc (24), Bellmore, New York | | November 7, 2009 [ Updated November 22, 2009 ] Decent place. Nothing crazy, not the eqivalent of a New Beer or Whole Foods or Big Z, but a decent selection, decently priced. The place is brightly lit and clean. The service is ok, the folks try to be helpful. The selection is decent also, nothing super hard to find, but plenty of craft beers. The great thing about this place is the value; I saw Sierra nevada Anniversary ale 6.99/6 pack, and the Sam Adams long Shot for 4.99/6 pack. The rest of the beers were decently priced, the same or better as most places on LI. Worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood. | | beastiefan2k (108), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas | | July 13, 2008 no there is no point coming here over any other towns beverage store. The top 5 other beer stores in LI are head and shoulders better than this. Skip it unless you have no other choice. | | jredmond (37), New Jersey | | July 12, 2008 Spending the past four years in central PA, where the beer barns could only sell full cases - made me appreciate this beverage barn. Southern Tiers, Rogues, Victory, DFH, Southampton, Unibroue, Abbaye de Rocs, and a bunch of other six packs of both local and imported beer. You can buy a single of anything as well - always a great thing. |
