harrisoni (6), Ashford, England does not count - explanation | | October 23, 2009 The place I go to buy beer in Belgium. Relatively easy to get to off the Antwerp ring and the selection and price are astonishing. The price for the regular good stuff like Orval and Rochefort is very decent and it has a very good range of lambics and other special beers. The service is very good, with the staff not bothered by a geek buying 100 single bottles of different beers. They also pack for you whilst you continue to shop. | | Tim Webb (40), Cambridge, England | | August 8, 2009 Excellent beer warehouse and shop just off the Ghent ring road. One of the finest in Belgium. | | vanderputten (11), , Belgium | | July 26, 2009 good selection of beers (a lot of wallonian specialities) and classics of each style. One of the best beershops of Belgium with very reasonable prices !
One should check the availability of some beers as they run out of stock sometimes !(e.g fantôme beer not always in the shop and not mentioned on their website) | | lassem (24), Copenhagen, Denmark | | July 10, 2009 Huge and impressive beer store. Alot of everything belgian. Huge selection of Lambics. Prices are good... and the risk for major shopping is certainly there. The atmosphere is a bit like a supermarket...but beers only. | | Bontus (13), Waasmunster, Belgium | | January 18, 2009 Very good beer store. Easily browsable with beers on the shelve and the crates below it. Didn’t get to check out the gueuze collection but from what I saw it looks like the place to be. Service was good but I didn’t do nothing special either. Had some nice rarities and I’ll come back later.
| | bierkoning (173), La Tropica, Netherlands | | August 25, 2008 Excellent beer shop! Well assorted and some surprises, and the prices were quite OK. The shopkeeper was busy, but I found my own way and paying went quick enough. I’ll be back! | | Jerre (50), Waregem, Belgium | | February 6, 2008 We where here for first time on saterday 26 january. Good place. One of the best shops in Belgium. Wy gone back next week. | | MesandSim (26), London, England | | February 2, 2008 [ Updated January 16, 2009 ] This is a truly amazing place. It’s huge, like warehouse huge, has a superb selection and the service is outstanding. 10 mins north of Gent on the R4(?) I think. Be prepared for spending a very very long time in here. Out of everywhere I have been beer shopping in Belgium so far, this place beats them all else hands down. You will need a car, firstly to get there and secondly to deal with the sheer amount of beer you will buy. I have spent a fair bit of money in here and have had in return what I would say is triple what I spent. Awesome place and an absolute must visit. Only downside for me is the small lambic selection. That said, most of all I love this place for keeping my cellar full of all the Girardin Black Label I can drink. | | Grovlam (46), Copenhagen, Denmark | | May 28, 2007 What a world class place. This was by far the best shop in Belgium. Hard to finde if you don’t have a car, but it is all worth the drive! About 63 Km outside of Brussels. The place is great, the shop owner greeted us and asked where we were from. Then started helping us out with the beer list that we had. Even made suggestions on the way. The staff helped out as well with picking out beers from our list. Packed our goodies in cardboard boxes for the drive home to Denmark. A must if you have the time! Owner ended op giving me The original Eylenbosch Gueze - vintage 1986! Thanks very much, I will be back one day... ;-) | | pivnizub (273), Bochum, Porúří, Germany | | June 28, 2006 Large beer-shop, friendly (well english-speaking) staff, great choice (e.g. De Rancke), well selected Lambics and Gueuzes as well.........Definitely recommended ! |
