For me the only place in Santa Barbara to go for beer. Eric the brewer is for real. Wide selection of styles and ALL well done. This is the perfect place to get out of the car and stretch the legs on the way up or down the coast.

No ’wow’ beers, but no ’wow this is not good beers’. Everything was at least an average example of the style. Service was very good, food was good. Stop by if you in the area for sure.

A trendy place to grab a bite to eat. Food is reasonably priced, and the beer is too, espeicially during happy hour. I was a little bothered by the lack of a discount on the taster flight during happy hour, but oh well. The food was delicious and the beer was tasty, and seemed to be fairly original. One of our waiters had little knowledge on beer, the other had a great knowledge of their house beers.

A must stop if you’re in the area. The atmosphere is a little sterile for my taste in a brewpub. But, their beers meet my tastes just fine. Excellent IPA’s

Hollister Brewing Company is, without a doubt, my favorite brewery.

It’s not because of the food (slightly more gourmet than standard pub food).

It’s not because of the service (good), ambiance (ok), or value (Hollister is a bit on the pricey side).

No. Hollister is my favorite brewery because the brewer is an absolute mad genius. I’ve never been to another brewery with this wide a selection of excellent house beers. Every style is represented. The brewer is constantly trying new recipes and new styles. He’s not afraid to create a nitrogenated pale ale, or a beer made with honey and 25 lbs of orange peels. And, somehow, no matter how strange the idea is, he manages to pull it off with aplomb.

Hollister doesn’t make a lot of the "extreme" beers with ultra high alcohol content or ridiculous hop levels that are all the rage today. No - Hollister just makes well balanced, drinkable, and excellent beer.

Nice brew pub along the 101 in southern California. Good selection of house beers on tap with at least one being offered on a nitro tap. Kind of upscale pub food. We only had a few appetizers. The duck fat fries were tasty. The beer was good too. A couple of steps above your typical brew pub fare. Worth a stop.

Good number of house brews available, I think I got to try nearly all of what was on tap via selections of 5oz samples. Not really any stand-out beers, but they were all fairly good, for the most part. The service was friendly and fairly fast considering that they were rather busy. Food wasn’t cheap, but it was pretty good. Worth going to, even if it is a bit out of the way in a strip mall type area.

Went with my dad and had a very pleasant expiriance. Food was pretty decent, but not amazing. My dad had the sliders and the buffalo wings, I had the Black Forest Panini. Beer was quite good and extremely diverse. No guest taps as they currently have 15 taps of there own and one nitro hand cask. I took pictures of the beer discriptions and uploaded a bunch of new ones that were not on here. The beer was quite good (had 8 of them which I will upload soon (saving a special bottle for #600)). The great part of the expiriance was talking to the brewer and his father for long periods of time, very knowledgable and friendly people. Probably one of the best up and coming brewpubs in the country (along with the Covey). Will return soon!

This is the newest brewpub in the Santa Barbara area, located in the Camino Real Marketplace, next to Chilli’s. I think that they opened just under a year ago. Modern, sports-bar style resturant with lots of flat screen TVs, though they arent loud. decent sized, though it gets crowded and noisy during the dinner rush. They have fifteen taps, and as of today they had fourteen house beers and one guest tap (Alpine Exponential Hoppiness). The food is pretty good, a little adventerous for a pub with stuff like duck fat fries and panninis, but nothing too out there. The wings are good, and their sandwiches are solid. The beers are all pretty good from my experience. The brewer is making a lot of different styles, from smoked, to belgian, to DIPA and imperial stout. When I called today, they had just put on a new imperial red ale, so we’ll have to see how that is. I like how they aren’t just sticking to the typical brewpub styles, though they also do a red, blond, a few pales and IPAs, E
