| amg800 (15), Ada, Michigan | | June 8, 2009 It’s a great place. Been going there for years. The owners know alot about their products and are very willing and able to help you find anything you need. | | kseecs16 (145), Naperville, Illinois | | May 4, 2009 Good selection, represents Michgan breweries really well and has a lot of interesting beers to choose from. Prices seemed about right. Super friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable service. Typical liquor store decor and ambiance, but it doesn’t detract from the experience. | beernut72 (1), Michigan does not count - explanation | | March 23, 2009 Since I moved to Michigan, this place has been a favorite of mine for a few good reasons: 1) The selection is one of the best in town. It is always changing; these guys really keep up with all the seasonal beers that many of the local and craft breweries release. 2) The staff (though I have only seen two guys work there) seem to know there stuff, if they have not had a beer they will usually tell me what other customers have said about it. 3) When I first started going to IBS the single beer selection was poor at best, over the last few months it seems that just about every beer is available in singles. Maybe because of more competition in this area, but whatever the case, it is a welcome change. The prices are very reasonable on the singles, if my calculations are correct they add about 15 to 30 cents to every single serve bottle. There is no discount for buying mix n’ match 6packs though…arrr!!, some of the other places add 15 to 20% to their single prices and then give you | | esjaygee (105), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | March 19, 2009 A nice selection of Belgians greet you when you enter the store, as does whoever happens to be working behind the counter. The younger guy (who looks like Hodgins from Bones) was very knowledgeable and hooked us up with some cheap glasses so we could drink the beer we had bought earlier in our hotel room. Nice selection of bombers and six packs both state-wide and from regional and national breweries. The singles selection wasn’t that big, but they did have two smaller coolers filled with decent beers like dogfish head and bells and a handful of offerings warm. Probably my favorite store I visited in Grand Rapids. | jebb12 (6), Grand Rapids, Michigan does not count - explanation | | March 5, 2009 Good selection - huge store, really nice and helpful owner. Good selection of Belgians. Would be better if there were more beers available to make your own six pack. | | bigtaster (24), Grand Rapids, | | May 3, 2008 [ Updated May 7, 2008 ] Small place packed with large selection of beer and wine. Not a very big singles selection. Staff is very informative and nice. Great place. | | Hudspart (21), Hudsonville, Michigan | | August 22, 2007 [ Updated September 2, 2007 ] Great selection for West MI. Singles selection better than I thought it would be after reading below, but not as good as another store in Grand Rapids. Rishi is very helpful and enthusiastic. For some reason, all of the beer that I buy here is a little suspect. If I can find it elsewhere, I will buy it elsewhere. | | jonwayne4883 (12), Grand Rapids, Michigan | | February 27, 2007 this guy knows his beer. if he doesnt have it, he knows how to get it for you. first place in town i found stone, bell’s selection is almost complete. downside is lack of singles. | mynameisjonas (5), Grand Rapids, Michigan does not count - explanation | | February 19, 2007 great selection but mostly in six packs. they need a build your own section. prices are very reasonable | | Jwasciuk (12), Lowell, Michigan | | January 26, 2007 Rishi very knowlageable and helpfull. Nice selection, however I would like to see more singles and build your own sixer. Prices generally higher, but sometimes lower. |
