| wwwdottom (10), Breese, Illinois | | October 24, 2009 [ Updated November 12, 2009 ] I generally come here once every three months. They have a good selection but you have to be carefull because there are plenty of brews past their "best by" date on the shelves - This place is an excellent value as you can pull singles out of any six pack and not pay a mark up! | Finhead (4), Illinois does not count - explanation | | October 9, 2009 For a smaller size liqour / beer store, they have an excellent selection. Plus. you can mix a 6-pack, which I love. The only downfall is the long checkout line. | | lizziec (10), , | | May 2, 2009 This is the place to go for breweries that are not available on the Missouri side. Just about 20 minutes from downtwon. | | Illinijs (11), | | February 10, 2009 Rather a small liquor store, but an excellent selection of craft beers. A few more brands than is available in Missouri which makes the trip across the river worthwhile | MrMugs (7), St Louis, Missouri does not count - explanation | | October 28, 2008 For the St Louis area, this is the best store for a wide variety of beer. unlike Missouri, you can take singles from any six-pack. | | esjaygee (103), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | March 23, 2008 Stopped by on a trip home from St Louis. Walked in to a big bin of singles which I immediately began filling up six packs. A worker there came by and told me I could break up any six packs on the shelf with no mark-up. Nice. A pretty nice selection of stuff I can’t get around home. Plenty of domestics and foreigns too. I definitely recommend this store. | | Ughsmash (138), Waukesha, Wisconsin | | January 9, 2008 This was an excellent side-trip when I was working in the St. Louis area. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, and you don’t expect much until you walk in.. It’s a medium-sized liquor store with very friendly staff and a solid selection of booze.. I spent lots of time talking with Joe the beer guy, who gave me insight as to new beers that will be available, etc.. (however, it sounds like he has a new job, and will be at the store, but in lesser capacity). I found plenty of beer to keep me busy, including the Schlafly BA stuff and some vintage Cantillon. Excellent store! | | Gregis (23), Shawnee, Kansas | | July 4, 2007 My buddy and I "popped in" on the afternoon of The Police concert, in St. Louis. An hour and a half later, I left with 3 coolers full of over 40 beers that I can’t get in KC. I was a bit disappointed to find only 2 bottles of Three Floyds in stock, and quite a few others that are listed as available in IL were also absent. But, hey, I can’t fault Corral for their distributors’ shortcomings. Joe, the beer manager, is the man. He helped direct us to exactly what we were looking for, and also suggested a few beers that we weren’t familiar with... yet. The fact that you can pull ANY bottle from a 4 or 6-pack without any mark-up is amazing. I will definitely stop in any time that I pass through the area again. Thanks again, Joe. | | beernoevil (26), Suwanee, Georgia | | December 26, 2006 Been here twice and drove quite a way out of my way to get there. Was not diassapointed either time. Great selection of domestic micros and imports. Lots of belgians. Great prices and will sell singles on most, if not all, beers. Gave them a low score on Service but I was never asked if I needed assistance on either trip. Still - I’ll go back next time I’m in the STL area. | | barleyPops (58), Quad-Cities, Illinois | | May 26, 2006 A great beer store located a few miles north of I-55 or south of I-270. As mentioned previously the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Selection is as good as you’ll find anywhere in Illinois-Missouri. |
