| OSLO (83), Minnesota | | June 2, 2009 Located in a strip mall just off of the business loop of 94, this isn’t much to look at. Within, though, is a great selection of singles, including a number of beers that have a couple (or more) years of age on them. Some of the stuff I have never seen outside of the store (mainly Belgians), and their selection of MI and Ohio stuff is pretty good. Prices are a little high on some things (DFH is outrageous), but pretty average for the rest. Staff is friendly, but I do not know if they know anything about beer. Definitely worth stopping at if you are going through Kalamazoo. Oh, and one final note, there is a container of malt liquor situated above the back coolers that is the craziest container that I have ever seen. Must hold at least 1.5L, and looks to be composed of ceramic shards put together. Never have seen anything like it in my life. | Onslow (1), Kalamazoo, Michigan does not count - explanation | | May 11, 2009 I can see Tiffanys from my house and I’ve made many a dash across West Main to get there. This store has gone through a lot of changes and upgrades over the years, and is continually getting bigger and better. Extensive selection of imported and domestic beers, including large racks of single bottles. Very helpful and professional staff. Large liquor and wine selection as well. Prices are competitive and beat C-Store prices on everyday beers. From time to time, they have excellent beer specials as well. Over the years Tiffanys has been in and out of offering deli fare. Currently, they are back in the game with a nice selection of cheese, olives, breads, and even a keg of olive oil on tap. Good place. | kazooka (2), Kalamazoo, Michigan does not count - explanation | | April 27, 2009 Nice place for better selection than most in the area. Knowledgeable staff that will help you find what you want, and will order what you’re looking for if possible. Good selection of domestic US micros with some Belgians. Wine cellar with some rarities. Humidor in the wine cellar. Extensive liquor selection, with some expensive glass-case and not-for-sales. Decent cheese selection, although many are already cut from the wheel. Deli selection of Mediterranean food. Priced a bit high, but you are in Kalamazoo, not Detroit or Chicago. 10% discount on a six-pack bonus! Overall weighted for location. | | marchcow (36), Coralville, Iowa | | April 14, 2009 This place is definitely worth a stop. Pretty good selection of Michigan brews and even found some other beers I had been looking for. Staff was friendly and supportive and suggested some additional new arrivals that they had not stocked yet when I got to the cash register. Kind of a gourmet style store with a good selection of cheeses as well. Nice place to stop after visitiing Bells, as they are more likely to have unusual Bells selections. | coyotehunter (9), , Michigan does not count - explanation | | March 1, 2009 Wonderful staff, and always helpful. Good selection of beer, heavy on Bells and Founders..Lots of good beers and occasionally great beers. I should say Pretty damn good for this Beer marketing wasteland. Now and then you run across a gem. | | lampeno420 (11), Zeeland, Michigan | | February 20, 2009 Always stop here after a visit to Bells, that is...if i have money left. Staff was very nice as soon as i got there, but it can be a little crammed at times. Good selection of bottles, with a lot of Belgians and usually everything Bells has at their store. Worth a stop if your in the area, but i wouldn’t go out of my way expecting anything to crazy. | | timsilvia32 (37), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina | | January 4, 2009 Good selection of local microbrews. Enough imports. Good singles selection. A few older bottles pop up. Prices are average to a bit high. Probably the best place in the area. Worth stopping in if you are in Kalamazoo. Nice specialized food selection, cheese, international ingredients, etc. Service is fine, checkout can be a bit slow. | | esjaygee (105), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | July 13, 2008 [ Updated April 23, 2009 ] Nice selection of beers, many in a build your own section that pretty much takes up most of an aisle, though it’s a bit cramped right up against the coolers. Created a few sixers (10% discount 6 +) and found a bottle of Unibroue Edition 2005 on the shelf, nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Selection is pretty big, especially on the foreign end of things. | IPAle (1), does not count - explanation | | June 3, 2008 I live a few blocks from Tiffany’s. What a great place! Jam packed with beer, wine, liquor. As someone noted below I don’t know where they would put it, unless they knock out a wall and take over the adjoining business. That’s what they did. Doubled it’s original size and they filled it up. Don’t forget the humidor in the basement too. The best place in Kalamazoo! | | AmEricanbrew (78), Almost, Texas | | May 6, 2008 Huge, quality selection of import, regional, and local craft brews stacked floor to ceiling. Found some Southern Tier beers here. Only one Jolly P beer in stock was a minor letdown. They will break six packs. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice deli and cheese section. Overall a great beer/booze/deli one stop shop here. |
