4 reviews for Hy-Vee Liquors
aaronhaywood (5), Kansas City, Missouri does not count - explanation | | April 10, 2009 I work at Hy-Vee right across the street so this has a great location for me. Also had a pretty decent selection and also a build your own sixer section. Not super expensive either. | | Zinister (49), Houston, Texas | | March 15, 2009 Not a bad selection for a basic liquor store. Nice workers. | | theisti (114), Leawood, Kansas | | April 21, 2008 [ Updated May 15, 2009 ] This location is across the street (State Line) from the actual grocery store. Average beer selection, OK choice of domestic micros, a few interesting imports. They do seem to get some of the special release Bells, New Belgium and O’Fallon, so certainly worth having a look every once in awhile. I have never had any ask me if I needed to help, but the folks at the register are always really cheerful. | Falconseye8 (5), Cartersville, Georgia does not count - explanation | | May 12, 2004 [ Updated June 15, 2004 ] Yeah, this is a grocery store but this grocery store offers something in my town that nobody else does. Will let you build you own six pack for 8 bucks. While thats a little pricy for what they have, it will save you a fortune on beers you don’t like and are desperate to get rid of. The guy at my Hy-Vee in Lee’s Summit, Mo store has even hooked me up with a couple of free bottles for telling him about Ratebeer and other beers the raters of this site hold in high regard. Service, Service Service and to listen to the demands of a customer or two to make their offering better scores them big points with me. They may not have Gomer’s variety, but they’re doing a pretty bang up job for a grocery chain. Since I first posted this I have introduced this grocer to Three Floyds, Stone, Pony Express, and a couple of rare bottles of Leinenkugels. If you ever go to HyVee in Lee’s Summit ask for Chad. He’s the resident Beer Geek and is very knowledgable and wants to make his product offering the best in town. |
