8 reviews for Knoxville Cigar Company (OUT OF BUSINESS)
| lithy (103), Knoxville, Tennessee | | April 2, 2009 This is one of the better stops in town, I’m constantly in here for smoke supplies, shaving goods, and fantastic beer in the adjacent bar. Has almost anything you can get in Knoxville in bottles. Prices on some bottles are exorbitant so check first before you shell out over 10 bucks for a bottle of something, there are reasonably priced bottles and a selection of decent taps. Wonderful scotch selection, knowledgeable bartenders and relatively proper glassware usage for some beers. The food as well is fantastic, I recommend the drunken sausage. It is expectedly smoky though so plan according to stink for a day. | | Tmoney99 (256), Cincinnati, Ohio | | November 30, 2008 Went here the night of the Knoxville Brewers Jam with a freind. Clean older building with a nice selection of taps and a back wall of coolers with bottles. Good selection of micros and a full bar for those that want something stronger. Very freindly service. Nice comfortable place to have a drink or beer and the smoke shop attached was interesting to visit. I will go agian when I am in town. | blindside (1), knoxville, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | March 28, 2008 Nice selection of imports. 8 on tap. Attached to the Knoxville Cigar Company. Comfortable seating and sports on the TV’s. | | Suttree (88), Knoxville, Tennessee | | March 21, 2008 Really cool place. It started out as just a smoke shop that made the logical (to me, any way) step to expand into a bar. We set at the bar and had excellent service the entire time we were there. The selectio is a decently chosen 8 taps with only one BMC, plus a huge cooler of micro bottles. The ambiance was laid back, very much a gentlemens’ club feel. I liked it and will definately return. | | NachlamSie (213), Tennessee | | March 20, 2008 It’s nice to see some better bars opening up in the downtown area. The interior is nice, mostly stone, with a quiet, sophisticated ambiance. There is an extensive selection of cigars of which I have not yet partaken, but am sure that day will come. On the beer side, craft brews are definitely the primary focus. An extensive selection of 6% abv beer is available at quite reasonable prices. Most of the bottles are less than $4.00. The high alcohol beers are another story, however. I have never seen such exorbitant prices in my life, e.g. a bomber of Ruination for $14.25! I do like the cozy feel of the place and will be back. | | tronraner (100), Seymour, Tennessee | | March 15, 2008 This should go without saying, but if you like smoke-free bars, do not go here. But, if you like the challenge of pairing beer and cigars, it’s a must visit. It’s two parallel stores connected through a gate humidor and smoking supplies on one side, bar on the other. Service on both sides was quite friendly. Very nice ambience in the bar- lots of dark wood and brick, but large windows provide plenty of natural light. Beer selection is pretty good for Knoxville, though nothing unique. Drafts leave something to be desired, but you should be able to find something decent in bottles. And they have a liquor liscence, so there are a few high-gravity bottles, too. And, for the record, smoking a Camacho with a Chimay Red works pretty well. | Vanette (1), State College, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | March 13, 2008 This place definitely caters to the after-work, cigar-smoking gentlemen, but its appeal goes beyond that demographic. The humidor has a nice selection, and the beer selection wasn’t bad, for E. TN. This is a good place for selecting a cigar to pair with a beer (if you’re into that), then relaxing in the luxurious chairs near the bar. | Ralfbrau (2), Tennessee does not count - explanation | | March 5, 2008 Newly opened (2/08) but has great selection of beers, scotch, wine, cigars, etc. Nice to be able to smoke a cigar and down a few good beers inside a comfortably decorated bar. Very comfortable chairs and tables/bar. |
