Chumley’s has the best selection of beer in Lafayette. 50 beers on tap and 100 bottles. I loved the mature atmosphere that was polished, and comfortable. Not really a "college" party bar though many students frequent the place. Most of them like a finer taste in beer then your normal yellow beer. They have a "beer around the world club" ... drink 50 different beers in a year (I think that’s what it is) and get a t-shirt and your name on the wall. No sure if they still offer $3 pints of Indiana beers on Saturdays though.

Huge selection. The ambiance was hurt from so many smokers and the service was fairly poor. Overall not bad if you want to grab a couple beers, but I wouldn’t go for dinner.

nice selection of beers. not too extensive but quite a good representation. friendly people -seems to be the course here in northern indiana- clean great smelling -will eat tomorrow- food and sports on the tube. not one of those bullshit overvexed tv sports bars -thank God. can’t go wrong here. pretty and sweet young lady at the bar today they are lucky they have her. 05/28/08

They have a very good selection. Probably the best in Lafayette. The biggest complaint I have is the ambiance. Loud, packed with people, and smells of smoke. I find this unappealing when wanting to drink good beer.

Nicer beer bar, great for the area. Food is typical bar stuff. The beer selection is presented very nicely by style and they make a good effort to educate based on this. Good domestic/micro/import array on tap and in bottle. Mostly midwestern micros. Very nice German selection. Would like to see more West Coast variety.

A sports bar with a wide selection of beers. An excellent variety of beers on tap, and a good variety in bottles. Typical sports-bar ambiance however, which isn’t completely a plus in my book.

Nice selection and fairly knowledgable wait staff. With 50 beers on tap and 100 other bottles of a variety of styles, you can pretty much find something to your liking, though I was somewhat disappointed in the tap selection. The taps do change, though. The night I was there, the list did contain Arrogant Bastard, Bells Two Hearted, Bells Porter and Bells Hell Hath No Fury. Beer specials throughout the week. The decor is pretty much "college bar, sports bar." Didn’t try any food. Popular place which was fairly crowded, even on a Tuesday night.

Not really a "college" though many students frequent the place. They have great food, comparable to an Applebee’s or Chili’s-type restuarant. Great appetizers (but the salsa is terrible). They have a "beer around the world club" ... drink 50 different beers in a year (I think that’s what it is) and get a t-shirt and your name on the wall. There are TVs all over, even in the bathrooms. Pool table, juke box, darts... they also serve cocktails and have daily specials... my favorite being $3 pints of indiana beers on saturdays.
