11 reviews for Pour 24 - NY NY Hotel and Casino
| j12601 (52), Poughkeepsie, New York | | August 29, 2009
First, this place is ridiculously expensive – $7.25 for a draft and $14 for a flight of 4 6oz pours (and depending on your location, that may be the number of new beers you’ll find here), which when you get a $5 sampler of 5 (I’m guessing 4 ounce) pours at Gordon Biersch, seems ridiculous. With that said though, you’re not just paying for the beer, you’re paying for the rather cool and quite gorgeous bar with geode slices through it, underlit so the whole thing glows, and the rest of the atmosphere, and well…Vegas. But, it does seem to be the only place to find anything in the way of craft beer on tap that isn’t a brewpub.
| BigDUK (8), , England does not count - explanation | | August 28, 2009 This place is a refreshing change for those sick of the usual poor selection at most bars on the strip. The prices are the same, but the selection and the choice to order a sampler selection make it a great place to try something different. We never stayed long, as its an open plan square bar next to a busy thoroughfare on one side looking across the casino and escalators on two others. The iced tap block looks good but the smooth broken glass bar, harsh lighting, open plan design and friendly hookers mean you won’t be settling down for a session here. Guess that the point in a casino! | | cfrancis (20), Gloucester, Ontario | | August 1, 2009 Eddie is the man!! Mexican man with 70’s swept back hair. Laid back guy that sat and talked beer with me and let me taste most of the beers for free. Great selection of brews, 24 to be exact..... Ambiance sucks because the bar is at the top of the escalator and in the open. Wish there was some pub fare food offered. | | Barreras (12), Diamond Bar, California | | June 8, 2009 Nice beer bar inside of Ny Ny Hotel Casino. Decent selection that seems to change every couple of months. Moose Drool is a constant, along with New Belgium 1554. They offer flight samplers and the bartenders were quite informed about beer. This place has one of the better beer selections on the strip, a great place to have good beer and avoid the bud light/corona drinkers. | | dchmela (52), Orlando, Florida | | April 28, 2009 This bar is right in the middle of NYNY casino, no doors or anything, just walk up and sit down. This was the best selection of any casino, some good beers on tap. Expensive, but worht the stop. | | Cletus (175), Connecticut | | April 17, 2009 Expensive, but these guys at least offer a nice selection of draught beers. If in the actual casino and looking for something interesting to walk around with, worth a stop. Otherwise, not worth going out of your way for. | | jcr (11), Jasper, Indiana | | March 16, 2009 If you don’t like the free stuff being offered on the casino floor, take a quick ride up the escalator for a decent beer — at a big price. Nice tap selection. I had a Kona Pipeline Porter. Service was fine. Not much ambiance to the place because it sits kind of in the middle of shops like an oasis. Which it is considering what beer is offered in most bars in Vegas. | | ajm (161), Los Angeles, California | | September 19, 2008 It’s there in the biggest possible pinch, but only then. Pulls are $7. Chucks66 gives a pretty accurate list below. Weird un-enclosed setup gives the bar a very afterthought-ish feel. | Chucks66 (4), Beachwood, Ohio does not count - explanation | | July 3, 2008 Just back from Vegas. Stayed at the MGM where the only craft beer I could find was Sierra Nevada and Fat Tire. Pour 24 had 24 (mostly) craft beers on draft. Stone Ruination, Arrogant Bastard, Purple Haze, Kona walia wheat, Moose Drool, Big Sky IPA, 3 different New Belgium Mothership Wit, Fat Tire, New Belgium 1554, Rogue Brutal Bitter, Rogue Dead Guy, Rogue Shakespeare Stout, Blue Moon, Leine Sunset Wheat. I did not find this place until my 3rd and last day there and it was quite refreshing to drink some hops. Highly recommended if you are on that part of the strip since you are truely in a desert for craft beer. | | mjg74 (41), La Mesa, California | | April 21, 2008 Little bar in a crowded area. Decent selection to some, I’m sure. Only had one I hadn’t tried. Not too impressed. Service was pretty good. |
