3 reviews for Canal’s Discount Liquor Mart
| Adam77 (12), Eastampton, New Jersey | | March 18, 2009 Good selection but nobody really around. 1 aisle really dedicated to crafts alond with some windows. Over priced on just about everything. Not bad in anyway. Some hard to come by stuff. | beeryswine (2), , New Jersey does not count - explanation | | July 10, 2008 My home away from home. The beer selection is quite good as previously mentioned. Their liquor selection and prices are very good. Thanks to Canal’s I have expanded into the world of small batch and single barrel bourbon.
Not enough imported beer in my opinion. The imports they do have are unusual and expensive, and seldom worth the price, or the old standbys. But the stock is always moving, a good sign of freshness, so you never know what you may find.
Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area. | GuilTTy (8), Cherry Hill, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | June 28, 2008 Canal’s is a regional chain and most of their locations carry a pretty good selection but this one’s selections are particularly good. Very wide variety of domestic craft brews from California, Colorado, the Pacific Northwest and the local area. They had Bear Republic on the shelves the day the brewer started distributing to NJ. Good selection of Belgians and English ales as well. They also carry a handful of impressive beers from Norway, Finland and Denmark including Nogne. I haven’t seen those in any of the other Canal’s or Joe Canal’s (formerly the same owner) locations. Small selection of singles, large selection of bombers and large selection of chilled and unchilled 6 packs. They could increase their unchilled inventory a bit. Most of the staff is reasonably knowlegable and very helpful. Definately worth a trip and opt for a full-sized cart. |
