3 reviews for D’s Six Pack and Dogz
Foam (7), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | July 14, 2008 Great hot dogs and greasy food ... lots of bottles in the backroom beer cave ... a handful of so so micros to top shelf stuff tapped usually ... TVs always have way too loud sports crap on them ... (must every bar in PGH have sports on a tv ??? WTF ? )
Too crowded anymore to be enjoyable IMHO ... the secret got out awhile ago ... lot of yuppies and grad student types lurking about ... very small and cramped ... they need about 4 times as much space as they do ......... Oh, and the prices are very high ....... | | Sammy (275), Toronto, Ontario | | June 30, 2008 A better bar than the original D’s but not as complete a selection of bottles for the six packs. Substantially less Belgiums around, much more local stuff. The coolers are more organized. But it is basically a bar and small restaurant. The taps were mostly the macro group, there were a good number of micros listed but only a few I never tried and they were the wheat/amber variety. Nothing to knock my socks off. Monroeville is a much much better part of town, with parking being no problem. Given I could not find the RIver Pour House, I am a little down on the city and coming back so quickly. | | sirpsycho (10), Murrysville, Pennsylvania | | March 3, 2008 Went here to finish up a birthday celebration. Not much to say as far as ambiance goes. Service is fast, proper glassware for the beer ordered. Selection is great, lots of taps lots of bottles, something for everyone. Food is good, service is very quick there. Great place to throw back some great beers and get a bite to eat. |
