TOURIST TRAP! And they don’t even speek french. About every interesting beer they sell is far too expensive. Still... I admit they have some beers you won’t find anywhere else in the Montréal region BECAUSE NOBODY BOUGHT THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE, AND STILL ARE TOO EXPENSIVE. Don’t encourage this opportunist (located three minutes walking from DDC brewpub...); Get a map, a GPS or a cab and go to Peluso on Rachel street.

Un service en anglais malheureusement et un petit local. Malgré tout, une grande sélection de bière de partout au Québec et quelques bières brassées uniquement pour le dépaneur.

Went here after drinking some brews at Dieu du Ciel just a few blocks away. They recommended it as a place to get not only their beers, but a good selection...and they were right. Lots and lots of Canadian micros, plus the usual Canadian macros (Sleemans, etc) and Imported macros (Guinness, Corona, etc). They keep a lot of singles cold, three coolers worth, and then have *most* of them on the long warm wall. Didn’t see a lot of classics from Belgium, nor any US beers, but that worked for me because I was searching for Canada’s finest. As I was shopping the shelves, the guy came up to me with an empty six-pack holder: nice touch! My only real complaint, and this is kind of a big one: NO CREDIT CARDS. Either need Cash or a Canadian debit. No American debits. Would probably have bought more if I didn’t have to use the ATM two blocks up and then come back to pay. If you’re going to Dieu du Ciel and you’re from the US, definitely stop by.

A tiny convenience store with an Indian vibe. Not much in terms of staff service. Tons of beers I’ve never seen or heard of, too bad I was on my way to another bar or I would of picked up more beers to take home. I was able to grab all 3 of the Unibroue U’s and drank them in the street. Fun time.

A short walk (or stumble if need be, I’d imagine) from Dieu du Ciel!, there’s a nice variety of singles for purchase here, including a decent dumber of DdC. Most of the others there I had never seen before. After finding another shop with singles, I can say that this place is a bit high (2.49 bottles here were 1.99 at another shop), but the selection was pretty good. No credit cards though, so bring cash.

Excellent place to find local Canadian beers after having a few at DDC. Very unassuming shop that really caters to the beer community. Rahman is very helpful and the prices are great.

Visited the Friday before Mondial last May, this small store has a few treasures and a few wtfs. El Lapino? You know, the spicy one with the pepper inside? Lots of local beers available, generally ok shape. Especially good location if you’re near Dieu Du Ciel, but it’s essentially a grocery/convenience store complete with a weird service guy.

Il y a un bon choix de bières, mais il charge beaucoup trop chère pour ses bières. Il a un excellent choix mai sil faut sortir son cash pour en voir la couleur.....

I went by here today on my way to Dieu du Ciel, which is pretty typical. Frankly, I didn’t expect much given the relatively low overall rating of this place. What I found was a healthy variety of Quebec micros, all sold conveniently in single bottles. To give you an example, Rahman had nearly ALL the Unibroue selections, including Quarter Century, 1837, 17, and Edition 2004+2005. they also had a good number of DDC, as well as Bieropholie. Yes, I question the freshness of some of their brews. But until you point me to a better beer shop in Montreal, I’ll be here for something new every time I come up.

This tiny, cramped convenience store a couple blocks from Dieu du Ciel will get you an interesting selection of Quebec brews, but none of the rare stuff. They used to have old St.Ambroise Vintage Ales (priced absurdly high), but they’re now gone. It’s convenient because it’s near DDC, but otherwise I wouldn’t come here as they don’t carry all of Quebec’s micros, and other stores not that far carry them.
