One of the best retail selections in Loudoun County. Good BBQ as well. The man knows his stuff and is always looking for new and good beer to add to the selection. No drinking on site though, off license only. DFH, Anderson Valley, Lagunitas, 21st Amendmend, Butternuts, Oskar Blues, Victory, Stone, Ommegang, LaChouffe, and so many more can be had here. Prices are fair, parking is plentiful, and the smell of the smoker outside doesn’t hurt your appetite one bit.

Paeonian Grocery & Gourmet is a hidden gem off at the intersection of Rt. 9 and Waterford Road. They have always had an outstanding selection of craft brew as well as wine, but a new owner just happens to bring great barbecue as well. Brian (said owner) ran the Mighty Midget Kitchen when it sold barbecue and thankfully the food hasn’t changed with the move. The staff aren’t beer experts, but Brian has a genuine love for beer and seems to want the business to succeed. After speaking with him his next step is get his stock cataloged on his website so you can see everything he has. Hopefully he can be talked into getting some of the better breweries from the west coast in!
