| gerome (14), , France | | June 9, 2009 bar with a few Belgian beers and French, like many a place | | goatboy (16), Alberta | | February 5, 2009 La Gueuze Has a fair selection of beer, I found most of the good Belgians also Satan, Spatten, Jenlain, l’Aiguille Blanche,& Hoegaarden Grand Cru to name a few, I enjoyed the ambiance and the staff were very attentive, this place is in my top 5 to visit when staying in Paris. | TrefwoordPunk (8), Leiden, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | August 19, 2008 [ Updated August 30, 2009 ] The beer selection is not too big, but they have some good British beers on tap. And they provide you popcorn all the time to keep you thirsty, never saw that in a beer-pub. Nice place to hang out, but not that special | | fiulijn (201), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy | | March 25, 2008 Some good Belgian beer, no rarities. Poor French beer selection. Good place to hang out with a decent beer, but not worth a detour for the international beer traveller. | | BMan1113VR (117), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas | | March 13, 2008 Interesting place in comparison to the Academie de la biere. A sit down restaurant, there is no bar area. Very little English spoken. I went in there on a quest for finding an unblended lambic in Paris, was disappointed. Still tried a Cantillon Gueuze that was quite nice, but served in a flute with a picture of a full frontal nude lady, not that I am complaining, but I would have never heard the end of it if my girlfriend was with me (she was in a class down the street). They brought a small plate of popcorn over as a palate cleanser, which was nice as I still had the taste of EKU 28 in my mouth. The selection was somewhat similar to the other beer bars in the city, but it focused more on international macros rather than beer geek Belgians, there are better beer places in Paris. | | JoeinUccle (138), Brussels, Belgium | | February 18, 2008 We blindly stumbled into this place, near Jardin du Luxembourg and the Latin Quarter. A handful of French beers were available, plus about 60+ Belgians. The highlight was real lambic: gueuze, kriek and framboise from Cantillon. Very impressive considering Lindemans, St. Louis and Mort Subite were the only lambics at other Belgian-themed beer bars in town. But I had to go with a biere de garde. | JonMoore (8), Loughborough, England does not count - explanation | | July 17, 2006 Nice bar, pretty good selection. Fairly good service. Didn’t try the food ’though it looked pretty good. Extremely busy when we were there (Sat night). | jujuparijs (1), does not count - explanation | | January 23, 2006 Ah la Gueuze!!!
A very nice bar, some excellent belgium selection...
A lot of neighbourhood worker goes there after their work to get a cold one very friendly especially the customers always something going on.
Can get sometimes packed as it can be also deserted...
A real nice place to have something different after your lounging in the Luxembourg gardens or The Pantheon
A good place to go if you’re in the neighbourhood but not a must detour | | kepano (24), Meudon, France | | July 16, 2005 Quiet beer bar with a fairly good selection focusing mainly on Belgian brews. They had all the big names, and a few obscure one too. | | Nate (197), Indiana, Pennsylvania | | March 21, 2004 Paris is not known for its beers, of course, but this is a nice place to stop and have a few Belgian beers if you're near the Pantheon or Luxembourg gardens. |
