April 6, 2009 Primarily a ala carte restaurant with a small beer section. I did not have any food, but they have an excellent reputation. I was surprised to find they have a small, but decent beer section. I saw Unibroue, Chimay, Brooklyn, Harpoon, Sierra Nevada & Dogfish Head. No macros. |
May 8, 2008 I added this place to ratebeer, so I will explain a bit more. This is primarily a restaurant (and an excellent one). It is an a la carte style place, with displays of food available by the pound. All of it delicious. They have a cooler with a decent selection of reliable standards (Sierra Nevada, Harpoon, etc.). But there is also an adjacent shop with wine, cheese, chocolate and a small bottle section. In a brief peruse, I saw Chimay, Unibroue, Alagash, Brooklyn, Magic Hat, and several others. Everything is about a dollar more than you’d find in another shop, but Twelve Pine is the only place for miles around that would have those beers. Not a true bottle shop, but a big improvement over the 30 pack of Natural Light you’d find down the street at the grocery. |
