10 reviews for Cajun Café on the Bayou
| DocLock (108), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania | | July 13, 2009 Wonderful place that looks like a New Orleans bayou shack. Food selection is authentic creole-style, with fish, seafood, spicy fare, and po-boys. Also saw people eating buckets of crawfish. Yee-Haw! Beer selection is very good, and I found 2 Cigar City offerings here. Service was good, and prices were affordable. Wonderful place. | | fluffy (19), Florida | | January 3, 2009 now this is a place to drink beer. ramshackle dive right on the water serving a great selection of micros and good basic cajun food. sit on the deck perched over the water, watch the catfish swim underneath, enjoy the sunshine and eat and drink. and afterward, its next door to a fleamarket. what more could ya want!? | | dcraft (11), farnham, | | December 30, 2008 Been to this place on a recomendation and found it to be a very nice eatery. Beer refills were a little slow, but being that it’s a restaurant and not a bar, it was to be expected as they were busy. Louisiana style decor, and a dock on the water. Some of the most authentic LA food I’ve tasted outside the State itself!
Washed down with one of my favorite beers Denver PA by the Great Divide!
| | kiefdog (103), Tampa, Florida | | December 29, 2008 Visited in November, 2008. Quaint collection of buildings and rooms on the river in Pinellas Park, FL. Has a slighty intentional run-down, country appearance with ample seating inside and out. Very nice selection of craft beers on tap that included Abita, Bells, Brooklyn, Dunedin, Flying Dog, Left Hand, Lost Coast, Rogue, Orange Blosson Pilsner, DFH, and Unibroue with about 50 craft bottles. Not a lot of macros anywhere to be found either. Food selection was excellent and everything we tried was very good. | | dalepryor (16), Paducah, Kentucky | | June 15, 2008 Stopped by here over the weekend and was very impressed with the food and the beer selection, they had a great variety on tap, i tried the oskar blues old chub, and then bought a bottle of kasteel rogue. They had a nice bottle selection most of which were american micros. The food was great, i had crab cakes which were very SPICY!! and the jambalaya as well had my mouth on fire, i can’t wait to return and try some other things they have. | | desurfer (77), Pinellas Park, Florida | | June 6, 2008 Very down-home feel with the dock and simple decor like a crab shack from my hometown in Maryland. Beer paraphernalia all over the walls. Good draft and bottle selection nothing mind-boggling but more than enough to choose a good drink. Food is authentic Cajun and absolutely delicious! I’ve been to New Orleans several times and this was the best red beans and rice I’ve ever eaten. Bottom line: good beer, great food, and a nice atmosphere. If you like Cajun food and beer, this is a must stop. | beerquafferTB (1), Florida does not count - explanation | | December 4, 2007 I have been going to this Cafe for many years, and have seen it go from a good Cajun restaurant, to the best in the area with a fantastic choice of beers. Okay, you won’t find many Belgian or rare beers here, but the fact you can sit on the dock and relax with a great beer, and eat home cooked comfort food is a bonus. There are 14 good beers on tap, Stouts, Pale ales, Brown ales, Fruit Flavored Beers, Scottish stle beer and a couple of Wheat beers. There must be about 70 beers with the bottles. | sigsag (3), does not count - explanation | | November 6, 2007 Good selection of beers and the best Cajun food around. My personal favorite restaurant.. | | NYHarvey (124), New York, New York | | July 30, 2007 Very nice atmosphere with Authentic Cajun food. The place is run and owned by a Brit with an appreciation for well made ales and a disdain for crap beers. It sits on the water and there is plenty of seating indoor and out. The beer selection is designed to accommodate, but not especially cater to the hard core beer geek. It is worth a visit though as the combination of good food and location with good beer is rare in our rare area. They also host a yearly beer fest. | | matta (91), Tampa, Florida | | May 14, 2007 [ Updated February 20, 2008 ] This is some of the Best Cajun Food available anywhere I have found in Florida. They have a great music venue on the water, and the restaurants owner is a big admirer of Craft Beers. The bottle selection is about 50 deep, and the draft beer selection is small but very pleasing. |
