| doubelknv3 (22), Illinois | | July 19, 2009 Best selecion in the area of American craft beers: Stone, Dogfish Head, Bells, Avery, Founders, Rogue, Great Divide, and many WI favorites Lakefront, Capital, New Glarus...to name a few. Last year when I was there they were having a mini beer tasting, but missed it, which gives good evidence that they are excited about the beers they offer. Staff is friendly and remenbered me though I only go their once a year when visiting family up in Kiel. Pricing for non-WI micros is a bit high comapred to Friar Tucks / Supper 8 near my home. Many of the micros had dust on them, which was a bit concerning that maybe the locals aren’t giving the place enough turnover. However, after 2 years going they still have a decent selection and will return again next year. | | CaryTheDude (21), Longmont, Colorado | | August 28, 2008 Best selection within a 45 mile radius of me that I can find. Is a little disorganized because of cramped conditions, but just ask the dude and he’ll be able to tell you what they’ve got. Great assortment of Abbey Ales, and a selection of good breweries like Bells, Dogfish Head, some Stone, some Avery. The Abbeys is really where this place makes its mark though. | | Ughsmash (138), Waukesha, Wisconsin | | January 8, 2008 I made a trip out here when I was staying in Sheboygan, and it was a good idea. The ambiance wasn’t so hot, as the store was darker and the beer was laid out in an odd, messy way.. but they had a lot of it!.. I managed to find several that I hadn’t tried/seen before, and the prices were entirely reasonable.. when the owner was there, we had some good chats about beer.. when the teenage girls were working another time, service was non-existent. Some of the beer was old and expired, but they seemed to keep decent tabs on most of it. | | JCapriotti (67), Milwaukee, Wisconsin | | January 29, 2006 As stated, smallish store, but decent selection for the area. Mostly micros, some nice micros like NG, Founders, Great Divide, Rogue, some Belgians, some other imports. Locals will find this to be very good, but would quickly run out of new beer to try (especially imports). Milwaukee folks won’t have a reason to come up here, though, they may have an occaisional beer left in stock that sells a bit slower than Milwaukee. | | balke13 (22), MIssoula, Montana | | February 15, 2005 Small liquor store in Plymouth Wisconsin...messy inside with bottles and six packs on the floor but quite a selection for the area although the prices are quite high. Bells, DFH, Rogue, Great Divde (including Yeti, Hercules, Old Ruffian), Founders (no Breakfast Stout though), some Two Brothers, a couple of imports, and most of the Wisconsin micros available in the area (NG, Sprecher, Lakefront). It’s a very nice selection for the area as I mentioned but the price are pretty ridiculous (some Bells for $14/sixer). |
