| joebudzjoe (19), Connecticut | | July 7, 2009 The only thing this place has going for it is its vast selection. Tons of 22 oz bottles from hard to find Midwest and West Coast beers. I purchased a Stone IPA and a Rogue and both were fresh. A no nonsense place. | | elihapa (62), Honolulu, California | | March 22, 2009 Wow, I stumbled across this place while returning to CT. Didn’t look like much from the outside, but the selection made it worth it. To my surprise, they had three aisles full of quality brews, with heavy hitters like Stone, Goose Island, Troegs, Southampton, Brooklyn, and Allagash well represented. I picked up GI’s Matilda as well as two from Captain Lawrence. A no nonsense kind of place with pretty average prices. | | Cletus (175), Connecticut | | May 17, 2007 Located a mere 1/4 mile from the CT border, this place offers most regional and NYS beers. While you won’t find the limited releases here, you will find things like Stone RIS and Wagner Valley Tripple Bock. The staff are friendly but don’t know beer. Periodically, they run specials where you get free glassware with purchases. What I like most about this place is its convenvience for lower CT residents since the are open and sell on Sundays and after 9PM. Not worth going out of your way for, but worth a visit if in the area. |
