7 reviews for Beverages and More! (BevMo) - Sacramento Arden Way
| mrhoppy (57), Santa Clara, California | | July 6, 2009 Basically the same stock as every other BevMo but the farther away you get from your home you will find a few different offerings. I’m talking 50 miles or more. | | Gypsy19 (11), California | | June 28, 2009 This is the biggest of the Beverages’ & More in the Sacramento area, thus the biggest selection. While you won’t find any rarities here, the selection is still pretty decent. A lot of California and west coast beers are available, as well as less-desireable beers from all over Europe, particularly German, British, Irish and Eastern European lagers and weak ales. The Belgian selection is decent; They have most of your trappist beers that are distributed in America. Some of the staff know a little about beer, others nothing whatsoever. A couple of the employees are very helpful and friendly, but there are a few that have just plain old attitude.
Lots of snacks and cheeses to pair with. A go-to place if you’re in the Sacramento area and don’t feel like driving to the Bay Area for less common beers. Expect: St. Bernardus, Rochefort, Stone, North Coast, Avery, Rogue. Don’t expect: Alesmith, Lost Abbey, Mikkeller, Struise, Hair Of The Dog, Russian River, Bells, Founders, Kuhnhenn. | | JohnnyJ (29), Carlsbad, California | | April 19, 2009 The selection is okay, good for the area though. Nice staff. Reasonable prices. Good place for locals to stop by. | | bhensonb (287), Woodland, California | | August 5, 2007 Not a great deal of turnover, and sometimes great standards disappear off the shelves. The beer selection is large, until you realize there isn’t much new. So drop in every few weeks to see if anything is new. The staff, and especially the guy who stocks the beer, are pretty helpful. | | marcus (87), Sacramento, California | | November 24, 2006 This is the best place in Sacramento to get beer. There is a huge selection of domestic microbrews and a pretty good variety of imports, especially Belgians and Germans. As a bonus, one can find just about any liquor or California wine here, as well as a decent selection of cigars (not always well kept). The staff is friendly, and if they don’t have your choice, they will help you locate it at any other BevMo store in the area. | | DYCSoccer17 (187), Davis, California | | October 3, 2006 Large, open, warehouse-like beverage store. There are wines to your right and as you walk in, with liquors on your immediate left. The beeris nestled in the back left of the store as you walk in, with some selected beers in the coolers straight back. They also have a smallish cheese cooler with some cheeses, some gourmet coffees, and some gourmet candies. There is also a cooler of caviar and I believe a smallish humidor with cigars. Plenty of glassware is also for sale. No one had approaced me. They have a very nice bottle selection of many regional beers and special beers. I was pleased with the selection. I spent about $60 on 8 beers, but could have easily have spent 3 times that amount. Recommended. | | Lubiere (177), Ottawa, Ontario | | January 14, 2006 A big warehouse liquor store, with decent beer offering, excellent prices and DIY service. This was the Arden Way location. Has a good assortment of cheeses, and snacks. |
