| kmweaver (113), Sebastopol, California | | September 28, 2009 Very glad we stopped here, despite the fact that Collaborative Evil (and any number of other taps) had been kicked over the weekend... Still, great selection of beers in a relatively snazzy, shopping-plaza located brewpub. House taps included: Sac-Squatch, Celtic Brew, Brewhouse Lager, Brewhouse Black, Brett Blond, Abbey Extra, English IPA, and Half Pint IPA. The guest taps are kind of overwhelming: Deschutes Mirror Mirror, FiftyFifty, Valley Brew, Moonlight Bombay By Boat, BR Racer X, Moylan’s Unfiltered Hopsicle, Stone 13th, Great Basin, etc. Bottles from the Bruery, Duvel, Russian River. The tap listings are almost entirely regional: CA, NV, OR beers. Very impressive selection, and the Sac Brew Brett Blond was excellent. | pbrick (4), Roseville, California does not count - explanation | | June 9, 2009 Older location. Food is good, some very good - the black/blue burger rocks. 12 house made beers, 24 guest taps - all top notch. This place has come a long way in the past four years or so and today is one of the best places for good beer in all of Sacramento. | | marcus (87), Sacramento, California | | March 22, 2009 This place has gradually become the best brewpub in Sacramento. Their brewing has become more experimental, with some barrel-aged gems and other interesting styles. The current list of guest beers is quite impressive with some great offerings from Firestone Walker, Bear Republic and others. The Sunday brunch is an incredible deal that includes an excellent buffet and unlimited free Sac Brewing beers. Lots of friendly discussion at the bar. | | RunDWP (11), San Jose, California | | June 24, 2008 I basically went there for the beer, and wasn’t dissapointed. Most of the SBC beers were good, a couple great, and no bad ones of the ones I tried. Food pretty average, with a pretty standard brew pub menu. Service cheerful enough, but not always efficient. Next time, I’ll just go to the bar and enjoy the great brews, perhaps with some appetizers. | | bhensonb (287), Woodland, California | | April 25, 2007 Not exactly a brewpub atmosphere. It’s about 2/3 restaurant, and the bar is a bar. It’s kind of a local though. Garlic fries are good, and the restaurant food is good, thought not all that unique. Good selection of their own brews, and they do tastings by style (including guests) from time to time. | | Braudog (478), Dayton, Ohio | | November 19, 2006 October 2002: Very wide selection of beers, few great ones, but none bad. Decent food and good service, but an average American brewpub. | | DYCSoccer17 (187), Davis, California | | October 3, 2006 Brewery located in a shopping plaza where an Albertson’s market is. Look for the silverish grain silo on the facade and you should be ok. My first impression was that this place smelled of onions as I walked in...it was horrific. The bar area is to the rear left as you walk in, with more seating everywheres else. The brewing equipment is in a room straight ahead and looks overly sterile. I was not overly impressed with the menu and it seemed pretty typical. I had the BBQ Rib sandwich, which was decent. The fries were very very good, though. THe bartender dumped a piece of lemon into my hefe, which really pisses me off and kills the service. Restrooms were not evaluated. |
