La Mesa Location: Great selection of local craft & micros. Decent options for national better known craft brewers, the international selection is also good. Prices are with some great values. I wish you could buy the smaller bottles in single instead of buying a full six pack before trying them.

Mission Valley BevMo. Good selection, but not amazing. The staff is OK. It’s a good place to stop by every once in a while.

Ok the quality of Bevmo is high overall compared to other big stores, but the selection across the county varies drastically. That said, its great to check online and earn some savings on some things.

Bevmo has a great selection of brews and they are all reasonably priced. Their stores are clean and they usually have lots of sales. Staff is friendly but not very knowledgeable... they are just people working a job, not beer/wine experts. Head to the Grossmont/La Mesa location, seems to have the best stock.... Mission Valley is convenient but smaller. It’s where I get my beer down here.

I usually shop at the LaMesa/Grossmont Bevmo, sometimes I visit the Mission Valley location. This is a great store chain for beer as there is always very good selection of crafts at reasonable prices. The staff however (IMHO) does not know beer. Just try asking them if there is any Eisbock, or a Berliner Wiesse, in the store. Perhaps this is an unfair barometer of service, but I get the feeling that they really just don’t care. In the event I need to ask a question I have to stalk and corner an employee they could call this Walmart liquor. Despite this I still visit them regularly, hats off to the great selection.

La Jolla BevMo. Big place Great selection if you re from the East Coast (AleSmith, Lost Abbey etc.) Prices didn t seem too steep. Very jealous. Wished I was driving back to NY instead of flying

La Mesa location was great. I like the supermarket openness but there were a number of items missing from the shelves where they were apparently sold out or hadn’t been restocked. Fantastic selection and decent pricing tho

Mission Valley location - A nice selection of CA micros and imports. Very few hard to find beers though. Decent prices. Close to the hotels and centrally located. Worth a stop.

A very large selection of beer and wine. Many macros so the selection for beer geeks isn’t really that great. Prices are good and predictable (never over priced). I usually stop by once a month to check things out. They will order anything for you (they did for me, so I gave them a good service rating).
