| Bukowski9 (10), Piqua, Ohio | | April 17, 2009 Have ordered from here before.Selection was decent.Shipped quickly and packaged very well. | ceffalo (3), , Texas does not count - explanation | | November 2, 2008 I’ve purchased from The Beer Geek twice now and they are always reliable and fast in getting my shipment to me. I have no complaints about them at all. They carry a wide variety of beers. The website is a little bit lame, but overall I’d recommend these folks for those who desire to buy beer this way. | | Walt (185), Chicago, Illinois | | June 6, 2008 Ordered a few times...not the best selection, but a solid one (when they aren’t out of things)...quick shipping... | | bhensonb (287), Woodland, California | | March 10, 2008 [ Updated April 16, 2008 ] I’ve had good experiences with the Beer Geek. Not as interactive as some other mail order businesses, but very reliable and the website works very well. Have had 6 or 7 shipments, and all arrived intact. Rerate: Still works very well - providing a list of alternates insured full boxes. Good communications on shipping/arrival. | | jpm30 (57), East Central, Georgia | | April 18, 2006 [ Updated May 20, 2008 ] (Update 5/07) You need to go Yahoo Shopping in order to get the updated website, the link above goes to a page from August ’06. Also check the reviews for the store at Yahoo Shopping to get a more complete picture. They seem to have problems around the Christmas season. the phone number listed above goes to an answering service for Friar Tuck Beverage, there is no phone listed at the website. I don’t know if calling the Friar Tuck store directing will provide you with any help.-
The Beer Geek is a member of Yahoo! Shopping and is part of the Springfield, Illinois Friar Tuck store, if it is listed on the Beer Geek, Friar Tuck may have it too. I also know their new beer listings are about two to four weeks behind when they show up in Friar Tuck, like 3 Floyds seasonals are first at Friar Tuck, then they appear later on the Beer Geek. Be aware that just because the site shows as it as in stock doesn’t mean it actually is. I would call the Friar Tuck store to check, just ask if they have what ever beer you are looking for in stock. | | Cornfield (140), Oak Forest, Illinois | | August 19, 2005 Good selection of brews at reasonable prices. The stock is kept rotating, so there’s usually something of interest for me, especially in the area of German and English beers. Quick shipping, too. | | Ernest (105), Boulder, Colorado | | October 8, 2004 Nice website, excellent packing, very fair shipping cost, and stuff I can’t find elsewhere. Only downer on the last order was that several of the beers were clearly old (one German weissbier had a BB date of one year ago, and ended up a drain pour upon sampling). So, don’t expect lighter beers or slow-selling beers to be in good condition. That’s a pretty common problem, though, so overall I would definitely recommend this place. | | TheBeerGod (97), Newport News, Virginia | | June 9, 2004 Only ordered from them once, but it was a pleasurable experience. Got all of the Lou Pepe beers plus the Fou Foune and a couple others for around $100 including the shipping! Arrived in about a week or so. Would recommend them as they seems to be fairly quick about processing an order and fairly cheap with shipping. |
