This is a little convenience store with “so – so” deli selection. The sandwich I had was far from great. The beer selection is decent with clean organized layout similar to Swann’s. They have about three cooler doors with singles too. The selection is overall OK with a couple of unique offerings not usually seen elsewhere. For me it is worth a look every few months. This combined with Rollin’ Oats up the street makes for a decent beer run.

The ambiance is about what you would expect from a converted convenience store. They do not separate all six packs for some reason but 90% of what they have is singled out. The staff is beer savvy and knows their stuff. So to sum it up I like it but they could score more points for singling out all beers. The selection is very good with all the common stuff and a some hard to find beers. The food is good too but the prices are a little high on everything. Ill be back.

Visited twice in November/early December, 2008. The appearance hasnt changed from previous descriptions, but the store is well-kept inside. Bottle selection is quite extensive and included some beers that I had not seen anywhere else in the bay area. The store help was not terribly interested in talking beer with me on either occasion and almost seemed inconvenienced when I purchased several bottles both times I visited. Some glassware here as well. Definitely worth a visit when in the area or as a destination in itself. Prices seemed average to a little high for the Tampa area.

looks like any old convenience store on the outside. inside, great selection. folks that work there act like they are in a convenience store too-not really chatty, but quick and thorough. mostly american micros and imports. one of those situations where if i was on my way home from downtown st pete, i would stop in to refill the fridge with a mixed six pack. but the prices are a bit high so i dont make special trips down for it. World of Beer in Clearwater is better anyhow.

Visited here in late July ’08 while in town on business. Converted convenience store stocked with beer. God selection of micro and imported singles which are also available in 6-packs. Has a decent selection of a few local micros. Dunedin, Holy Mackerel, St. Somewhere if you are looking for that. Nothing rare or surprising, but still easily able to pick up about a dozen I had not rated. Clerks stayed behind the counter - which is fine with me - I know what I want - were friendly when I checked out. I did no find the prices to be too bad as some have indicated. Some of the singles were less than $2.00. Not worth going out of your way for - but if in downtown St. Pete - worth a visit.

I have gone here plenty of times mostly because it’s really close to where i live, that being said i wouldn’t go out of my way to shop here. Their stock stays the same, every so often i find something new or it’s just in season. Other than that they don’t always sell the full packs of certain brews, for example dogfish head midas touch, see i love that beer and wanted a four pack but they only sell them for 4 bucks a piece and not in bulk so that’s a disappointment for me also prices tend to be a bit high and no one there seems to know much about beer except for the few that work the stock. I’m not saying this place is horrible and not to go there, they do have a good selection that you won’t find elsewhere in the area but i usually travel farther to shop for my goods.

Finally got buy here, been meaning to stop for a couple months now. Gas station lay out, but instead of the normal candy and sports drinks, its just tons of beer. Really respectable selection, but nothing crazy and shockingly rare. Picked up some DFH WWS, when it is gone from most of the other stores. Prices are high before they are low, and there really wasnt any service, but the lady behind the desk was nice. As far as food, i just got a bag of doritos.....which were stale, so thats not cool. Overall a nice place to stop if your near Downtown, but i wont go out of my way for it.

Didn’t try the food. Prices aren’t the best, but that’s expected. Lots of good beers, nothing crazy though. Didn’t seem to be any service to speak of, but I didn’t ask. A real nice glassware selection bought a Duvel tulip (the old one broke). Overall, it’s a good place to go if you’re in the area or if you live close by, but wouldn’t really call it worth the trip.

THE place to buy your beer in St Petersburg. I live 5 minutes away - lucky me!

Pretty unassuming on the outside, but it’s a treasure trove inside. Nice selection from all over the world, but focusing on the US and Belgium. A bit pricey, but then again so is everywhere in the Tampa Bay area besides Total Wine. Staff is friendly and helpful. I didn’t get any food but the sandwiches look great. Definitely worth stopping more than once.
