Nice place. Good selection and good service. A little pricey but what can you expect from a place right down town Tampa. Also has some good selections of wine. Check it out its worth it.

Canned feeling. Not a warm and cozy beer bar - more of a wine bar. Guess I’m longing for the Colorado feel when I’m drinking good beer. Food is quite good, but pricey. Not that most of us care, but my girl only saved $3 by purchasing an entire bottle of wine. We usually save at least the cost of a glass when we buy a whole bottle. The couple we were with were split on their thoughts about the place. She loved it, he hated it.

The ambiance is very upscale-urban with two rooms. One is a wine bar with a lounge and the other is a beer bar with tables. Also there is outdoor seating with a nice view of UT and soon to be Art Museum. The beer menu is outstanding with mostly craft beer and high end imports on both tap and in bottles. The food is quite good but expensive. Overall a fancy beer bar with no real equal this side of the bay but unlike the other it has food. Expensive but Nice!

Visited the place for the Stone-Terrapin beer dinner. Place was a little noisy (somehow they enjoy turning up that music), decoration is modern. Food was amazing and delicious. My only problem with the place is its corporate / upscale atmosphere that doesn’t make it my #1 pick to share good craft beers with other craft beer lovers. Add to it the overpriced parking fees that you pay anytime you park in downtown Tampa.

I frequent this bar quite often. It is the ONLY Craft Beer bar in the S. Tampa area. It’s odd to me that the most affluent area in the Tampa Bay area only has one great Craft Beer bar? Anyhow, TAPS has a nice upscale urban vibe. The beer selection is rather impressive. 250 or so bottles to choose from, there are some real bottle gems in that cooler. The draft selection is pretty good. Heavier on the Specialty Imports than the American Crafts. I am an avid drinker of the Arrogant Bastard Ale on draft. It’s great sitting out front in down town Tampa, enjoying a great beer and smoking a good cigar! Ohh… it’s like 8min from my front door. it’s a sweet commute for me... and the food is Awesome!!

Nice beer/wine bar. Easily accessible location corner of Polk and Ashley in bottom level of Skypointe Condo hirise. Very good draft and bottle selection. Had a Maudite, Chimay White on draft and another unibroue and a urthel hop-it in bottle. Waiter on Monday night lacking in beer knowledge and had to reorder beers at least twice. The spartan crowd became very big on Fri and Sat nights according to waiter. Monday night was good for beer drinking and talking. Enjoyed cigar on sidewalk area outside. Nice gem in Downtown Tampa.

Thanks to Kiefdog for going on the beer tour. A great new place in Tampa. Well stocked, upscale but not pretentious beer and wine bar. The selection was top-notch on tap, as well as in the bottle. The prices were a little high, but fairly expected with the clientèle that is going to be frequenting. I really enjoyed the Roast Beef sandwich, though their beer menu was what I really relished. For Tampa, a real great start in the right direction for beer lovers.

Visited on a recent weekday for lunch. This is a new restaurant/beer/wine bar in the SkyPointe Condo complex. Very bright, open appearance with modern decor. The seating area is broken into two smaller areas with the beer bar on one side and a wine bar on the other. Bar is neat and clean with a slate counter that seats 5-10 patrons with high-top and lower top tables nearby. Selection of draft beers on this particular day was fairly impressive with Blanche de Bruxelles, St. Bernardus Abt 12, Maudite, two Brooklyn beers, Chimay, Grimbergen Dubbel, Weihenstephan, and others. Bottle selection was also impressive with over 250 bottles in small coolers behind the bar and larger see- through coolers high above the floor. It took a little while to take in the selection. Check out the beer list, and I am sure just about anyone can find a tasty craft brew to enjoy at this place. The food was very good as well, more upscale than typical bar fare and just a little pricey for the amount served. But, nonetheless, the food that we ate on this particular day was pretty outstanding. We conversed with Brendon, the bartender, who was responsible for the beer list, and he really seems to know beer. So, this is definitely a welcome addition to the downtown Tampa beer scene.
