March 14, 2008 This is the brewery pub for Dupont, just across the road from the farmhouse where the magic happens. Get fresh saison on draft, as well as Redor Pils and normally one of the Moinettes. Most of the Dupont range is available in bottles, aside from a few rarities. It feels like a rural local, and for a few old gents it obviously is. Pool table in back. When the weather is fine, there are cow-pasture picnic tables in back. Food is nothing fancy, but the snacks and croques are made from the brewery’s own bread and cheese (made from Moinette or the Saison). It’s a bargain, too: glass of saison for about 1.50, sandwiches just a shade under 5 euro. The lady behind the bar has always been very friendly and forgiving of my poor French. A must-visit for Dupont devotees. |
