15 reviews for Mooses Tooth Pub and Pizzeria
| yemenmocha (61), Glendale, Arizona | | April 17, 2009 Family restaurant that happens to serve beer, and you will always wait to eat here. They need another location. Waiting nearly an hour almost any day of the week is lame, no matter how good your pizza is.
Atmosphere is typical family pizza joint.
Quality of beer is above average, with some beers notably good.
Service is average.
Selection for a brewpub is above average, with more than a dozen beers to choose from.
Pizza was amazing, as was the breadsticks we ordered.
Reasonable prices, given the standard in Alaska. | | mabel (134), Toronto, Ontario | | April 10, 2009 Visited on a very busy Saturday night back in September, it was packed and full of country radio music and laughter. A huge selection of 17 house brews on tap; a lot of them are similar to each other, though the IPA and porter stood out. We ate a tasty Brewhouse Favourite pizza. The staff was all wearing MT-logo t-shirts and friendly enough when you could catch their attention, they all were so busy. Overall a good experience. | | Aggy360 (10), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska | | April 4, 2009 This place rocks! The pizza and breadsticks are awesome. The beer is great. Midtown Brown, Raspberry Wheat, and Pipeline Stout are a few to give a try. If you can, try to get there before 5pm or you’ll have a wait. Well worth the wait but a wait none the less. A great place to bring friends or family from out of town/state. | | jerc (141), Toronto, Ontario | | September 9, 2008 Arrived to an insane Saturday dinner crowd that only got busier as the night went on. We wisely opted to sit at the bar rather than wait. Servers were friendly and efficient. Pizza was delicious and other peoples pizzas smelled and looked so good it made me want more even though I was fool! Atmosphere is okay, standard family restaurant type fare, sitting near the bar helped brewpub it up a little. We also chatted with some locals which probably wouldn’t have happened at a table. Beer was surprisingly average, of the 16 or 17 on tap only a handful made me want to come back for more. Worth a visit. | | CMUBEERMAN (49), Madison, Wisconsin | | August 27, 2008 Not as good as glacier brewhouse. Great pizza and service. Beers were about average for a brewpub...which isn’t saying much. Though they didn’t have any specials or crazy seasonals. | | savnac (57), Palmer, Alaska | | August 1, 2008 [ Updated October 25, 2009 ] This is one of my favorite places in Anchorage. The place was remodeled and expanded a couple years ago and looks great and clean. The pizza and salads are excellent, some of the pizza combinations sound strange but I assure you every one of them is delicious. You could literally close your eyes and throw a dart at the menu and you would have a tasty meal. The beer selection is superb, although this place is so popular that they can sometimes run out of a particular beer. Very busy on friday nights and on the weekends but worth the wait. You can also get growlers filled and purchase 5 gal kegs at the restaurant. My only problem with the place is that you have to purchase their growler bottles, you can’t get a personal growler bottle filled. Also, you can’t get a personal corny keg filled, they have pre-filled sankey kegs and only some varieties available. If your in Anchorage this place is a must. | gator2683 (7), Anchorage, Alaska does not count - explanation | | January 21, 2008 Excellent place to have some drinks and pizza. Can get very busy during weekends. | AKHenry (1), does not count - explanation | | October 17, 2007 Almost everything about Moose’s Tooth is tip top. I live in Anchorage and stop in the restaraunt about twice a month for food, and fill up a 1 gallon growler from the bar every now and then to take home. The only problem I’ve every had is with the wait, but if you’re just visiting anchorage, it’s worth it. They have an excellent selection of regular beer, as well as roating beers which then unveil at a live concert event. | | TomDecapolis (69), Skippack, Pennsylvania | | July 9, 2007 Hands down some of the best pizza I have had. If you are into loaded speciality pizza’s and you find yourself in Anchorage...go here
Beer is above average as well. They make some great "rock concert" style posters for their beers too. They need to start bottling this stuff just so they can get their labels out there. | JRBowie (4), Atascosa, Texas does not count - explanation | | March 10, 2007 Mooses Tooth Pub and Pizzeria. OH my god it is the best pizza I have ever had. Oh yah they have Beer too. Heres the deal I really love 3 of their beers Fairweather IPA (surprise... surprise) Raspberry Wheat and the Pipline Stout Their wine list leaves alot to be desired. My thoughts are Pacific North West How about getting some Chatue Ste. Michelle or Columbia Crest?? purhaps some Mission Hills Ice Wine. Ok back to the beer I would also like to see atleast one Midnight Sun Tap lets get out of that box of only haveing house brewed beer on tap just a thought. |
