5 reviews for Silver Gulch Brewing and Bottling Co.
| BeerandBlues2 (159), Colorado Springs, Colorado | | June 8, 2009 The new restaurant is an excellent addition to this brewery. Now they have very good food to serve alongside some very good beers. I had the pistachio crusted baked halibut, and it was phenomenal. The prices are typical Alaska, but not to worry, you are in ALASKA! Beyond the 10 or so house taps, there are numerous Belgian beers to choose from (a selection that would astonish anyone venturing this far from real civilization) as well as other countries. If you are within a couple hundred miles, make the journey here; you will not be disappointed. | | josarah (68), Hinesburg, Vermont | | August 11, 2008 Who would have thought that in Fox, Alaska such a place would exist. Let me assure you it is well worth the trip. The exterior is very decieving. This old building has been totally renivated into a beer and food mecca. Not only are their own beers pretty good, their imported bottle selection is even more impressive. Service was great, food was great and creative. If your within 100 miles make this a destination. | | savnac (57), Palmer, Alaska | | July 31, 2008 Out in Fox Alaska, about 10 miles outside of Fairbanks. My wife and I happened to stop by for a tasting a couple of years ago. One of the brewers was very nice and showed us around the brewery. The beer was great especially the Fairbanks Lager. The beer is available throughout the state on tap and in 6 packs but the 6 packs are pretty expensive. | | Braudog (478), Dayton, Ohio | | July 17, 2005 July 2005: Did a drive by, but they’re only open for visitors for a few hours on Fridays. They make pretty decent beers that are pretty available around Fairbanks. | | aracauna (42), Georgia | | June 26, 2005 I stopped by on one of their brewery open houses. They were actually brewing their pilsner while we were in the building. We got there right at the beginning, but the place gets a bit crowded by the end. The beer is all solid and they had several beers pouring for free at the brewery that I could not find anywhere else during my trip through Alaska. The old Roadhouse it occupies makes for kind of a cool experience. |
