If you are in Juneau, come to this place. They have an open tap wall with FREE tasters of everything they currently stock. They even opened bottled beer (Smoked Porter) for tasting. The tour is just a talk from a lovely young lady.

Visited on a grey Tuesday afternoon in September, we joined the already-in-progress tour discussion in the side room about the history and making of the beers at Alaskan. (Interesting, infused with television clips.) They have won a lot of well-deserved brewing awards, according to their displays around the store, and offered about half a dozen of them at the bar. The bar staff was friendly and proud of the establishment, providing us with multiple free samples of the liquid stuff. Very pleasant experience overall. We travelled to and from by bus (for a fraction of what our cruise was offering) and afforded us a closer look at what the locals were up to. No food, but tons of clothing and other beer paraphernalia for sale in the store, as well as the beer itself.

Decent video presentation, no tour available but the windows let you peek into the brewing and bottling areas. Enjoyed a number of FREE samples and had a good chat with the rep behind the bar. Bit of a hike from downtown - take the bus if you can its a lot cheaper than the cab!

A pretty cool automated brewery to Visit if you get the Brewers tour!. Great people and the tasting area is a true hit!
