A wonderfully traditional Midlands pub of multiple room, chip butties, no music, tv or nonsense, and 6 cask ales brewed on the premises. Fireplaces, wall benches with assorted loose cushions, flock wallpaper and half wall wood paneling, and dogs! Great atmosphere. Beer is served a little warm for modern taste.

The place to go if you’re in Burton. A traditional bar, with a good range of Burton Bridge ales, very well kept.

Again, see haddonsman’s comments for detail. The food was just great, and the ales are not to be beat. You must stop, if you are in town. The other must top is the brewery museum in the former Bass brewery. Current owner not to be named, but the museum brewpub seems to be going well.

The legend lives on... the Brewery Tap for the BB Brewery. A fine pint serverd A1 every time. The Top Dog Stout and the Burton Bridge Porter excel. I’ve been visiting this place for years, the beers always superb, and as a non smoker I’m a fan of the No Smoking room. Re: Food, then all I’ve had is a cob and crisps, so no comment.

Brewery tap for the Burton Bridge Brewery (right behind the pub), ten minute walk from centre. Two rooms served by central bar plus upstairs dining room open at lunch. Burton Bridge staples of Bridge Bitter, Golden Delicious, Gold Medal, Festival Al and Burton Porter on draught along with four Burton Briidge bottled beers. Lots of oak panels and beams, grand fireplace, church pews for seating. Good English pub grub including local speciality of oatcakes stuffed with cheese. Small patio overlooks brewery yard at back. Gets busy at lunchtimes when there may be a bit of a queue.
