Only bad beer that I have had in Belgium, and I mean bad. DMS, watery, tannic, all three of them. Bad atmosphere, really sterile. Had to pay 5.50 EU for a tour of mostly the old non-working brewery by someone that did not know much of anything about brewing.

Though they only make 3 beers, this is a pretty decent brewery tour from the standpoint that the old brewing equipment is preserved so you can see how the "used to do it." The crowd, primarily composed of tourists, can get pretty thick, so you kind of feel like cattle getting herded throughout the place. There are some steep stairs, and the tour guide is constantly stopping and waiting for the elderly and those with a fear of heights to catch up, which is annoying. Once the tour is over, there is a beer garden and a beer hall where you can buy drafts and bottles of their limited products, all of which are decent, but nothing special. There is a restaurant too, though I did not eat there. If you’re hell bent on seeing a brewery while in Brugge, I guess this is your only real option, though your time is better spent elsewhere within the city.

Visited last year, did the brewery tour, which was nice, and enjoyed both of their Brugse Zot beers in the sun on their enclosed patio. Very touristy, but worth a short visit.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon last March, we took the popular 11am tour which ranged all over the historic establishment, even up to the roof for a beautiful panoramic view of the city. The tourguide was informative and friendly and cracking jokes in the three languages she was reciting her schpiel in. Finishing up in the bar, a bright cavernous room playing accordian music and smelling of hops and yeast, we sampled one of their two beers available. Overall fun and relaxing, worth the trip but not enough beer selection to tempt a return visit.

According to them the only brewery really inside Bruges’ town center, and we went on the brewery tour (which they do in Dutch, English and French). They quickly show you the new brewery where they brew today, and then spend the rest of the time showing you the old brewery. Please note that you have to walk up and down some very steep stairs (240 steps in total, allegedly), so this tour might not be for everyone. Nice view from the top though! The 45 minute tour was €5 per person (in January), and it includes a glass of Brugse Zot at the end, so it is quite good value. Had both the normal and Dubbel on tap.

Large brewery building with an inner courtyard that is constantly crowded with tourists drinking beer and lines of tourists waiting for the facility tour. Two beers offered on tap when we were there, both are not so great, and we decided to not stick around too long as there is a lot of great spots to visit in Brugge and this place is certainly not one of them.

Brewpub and old brewery tour which was cool despite some of the regular brew tour shtick. Beer with tour, only 2 beers available, their regular and Bruin. Unfortunately, they were out of the unfiltered version so all I had was th filtered one. The top of the brewery has a beautiful site of Brugge. Ratings are not high but I recommend everyone do this.

We got there early, and the service was all over us. Met the lady who did the brewery tour in the Rick Steves video. Good time.

The beer is solid but nothing exciting. But you’ve got to do the tour anyway, right? It was actually one of the better brewery tours I’ve done in Belgium. They even let our dog come on the tour. A highlight for us was the rooftop view of Bruges. I recommend it if you’re spending more than a day in the town. Nice pub and courtyard too. They were a bit abrupt at the bar though, if you try to ask questions. Just take the beer you get and like it, was the vibe I got.
