90 Fantastic, cosy, bottle shop and tasting room, that I wish I’d come across earlier in the evening. (I’d not set out to find this place as I’d read about the sporadic opening hours, however the hours are now firm). Friendly, super knowledgeable owners. Some rare beers. Good prices. A must visit. A gem, in fact.
PLEASE NOTE:
As of September 15th 2016 a note in the window states this place is open temporarily and exclusively for private tastings only. |
72 Small but nice bottle shop focusing mostly (if not) on Belgian beer. Helpfully staff. Tasting sessions can be booked in advance for a resonable cost. |
72 Small beer shop with tables in on a back street in central Brussels. Fairly limited selection but he has the odd thing you might not get elsewhere. Certainly more interesting than many of the overpriced beer shops in the centre of town. I bought a bottle of La Trappe Jubilaris, which I hadn’t seen elsewhere. Decent little spot with a friendly owner. Just make a note of the odd opening times, which can be frustrating. |
90 Small, cozy and very personal little shop central in Brussels. Not the biggest selection in town, but carefully chosen. To get the full experience you have to attend to a tasting session with food paring. One if the best beer experience of my life. The owner speaks perfectly English and are extremely knowable and does the whole thing in a very intelligent way. Not for ticking, this is for people who really want to learn how to get the full experience out of a few amazing beers. |
72 Small beer shop in a hidden location in the center that is more real rather than tourist focused like many others in the area. A decent selection and the possibility to sit down and drink in. |
94 Lovely place, definitly worth a visit, awesome staff |
94 Pierre who runs this store and tasting room is really fanatical about beer! His selection is not as large as some other Brussels stores, but it is very carefully chosen. To fully appreciate the experience you need to book a tasting session, where he and his wife will fill you full of lovely beer and complimentary food, while also imparting interesting beer information. |
68 Decent wee bottle shop with variable opening times at moment due to health reasons. Opens by appointment for private tastings. Friendly staff, some interesting gems though a smaller selection than at some shops. |
74 Did have a glimpse through the windows. Excellent selection of beers on bottle, recommended by staff on Moeder Lambic. But it was only open on request, and most for tasting sessions. |
