July 30, 2007 Nice beer selection with some tasty, typical Flemish dishes. Plenty of tables on the terrace when weather is reasonable; excellent, small-town people-watching. I tried the Hennepot, which is a bit like a plate of cold, leftover rabbit and chicken in a gelatin substance. Not bad, but I may go with a more tried-and-true classic next time. We stopped here for lunch on our way to pick up beer at Westvleteren... and that may have to become a tradition. |

July 12, 2007 This was a most pleasant cafe situated right in the main Sq opposite the Town Hall. It was a good sized glass fronted cafe with stools by the bar and outside seating for the summer. I counted 106 beers on offer with a nice mix prices were also very reasonable with a dozen or so beers under two Euro’s. Friendly bar that was the busiest we went to on our trip to West Flanders, only downside was the area we were ast in was rather smoky. |

June 4, 2007 Great day in Belguim, we stopped here on a busy day in Poperinge. The selection was pretty good and I’m sure the service would have been better if it weren’t so busy. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in Poperinge. |

June 3, 2007 It was one of those nice warm sunny European days no one expects, so we sat out side and enjoyed numerous selections off the menu. The service was so so because it was very busy with the night time market going on. I will enjoy this place more as I visit Poperinge for more Westy! |

November 8, 2005 The best beer selection I found in Poperinge and the food was good too. If staying in town this was the place I liked the best. |

July 10, 2004 De dolles served here (together with most of the trappists and some geuzes). Clean and modern place worth of visit when on the road to Westvleteren or Esen for example. |
