I stopped in Brawley (middle of nowhere), while traveling and ate at this excellent Mexican place. Bottled beers available are standard Mex and mass-production US brews, but just order a Negra Modelo and you’ll be fine. I live in SoCal and have had lots of Mexican food in my time, and this place is fantastic. A family-operated nugget of gold in an otherwise totally depressing California desert town. Don’t miss the chance to have a carne asada taco if you find yourself in the area.
