9 reviews for Beer, Beer and More Beer
| Berserkir (10), New York | | July 29, 2008 One of the best online homebrew shops. I frequent the Concord and Los Altos locations. Both have a great selection of home brew equipment and ingredients. Concord also has a great selection of beers available, including Russion River greats. I was lucky enough to get several bottles of Beatification when I was there last. | | Inflames (30), California | | March 24, 2008 Stopped by the concord location and found myself lost as too what to buy. I want this but need that, I need one of those too, oh but I want that. What I’m trying to say is they have whatever you need. Service was excellent being that I was the only customer at the time. | | Dunk (17), SoCal, | | January 11, 2008 Cool toys but ingredient selection could be better. I love my B3 brewing system and they do the equipment well. I’ve had several disappointments on ingredients where they didn’t carry something or (more frustrating) were out. How does a brew store run out of wheat malt? Common hop varieties? Screws up your brewing plans after driving 20-30 minutes to get to the store. Ingredient selection is improving and the running out of stuff problems are now much improved. Friendly staff but not helpful with catalog stuff. I asked for a yeast in the catalog a few weeks ago (they didn’t have it in stock) and they simply told me to call Concord and order it. WTF?? I appreciate having a local store - a lot of places don’t even have one - but I didn’t drive to my local store to be told to order from a catalog!! | | Cletus (175), Connecticut | | September 18, 2007 I’ve ordered products from these guys several times and their prices tend to be cheaper than other places around. The one area I wish they would improve on is their turn around time. While it is nice to get free shipping on larger orders, I’ve had orders take as long as three weeks to arrive. | | hophead75 (83), Boonton, New Jersey | | December 8, 2006 This is where I order almost all of my homebrewing ingredients and a good amount of equipment also. Prices are good, especially considering ground shipping is free when you order over 60 dollars worth of stuff. The service is second to none. I’ve had a couple of instances where they included the wrong hop in an ingredient kit and they shipped out a replacement the next day. If you are a homebrewer you owe it to yourself to at least check out their website. | | kmeves (97), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin | | November 29, 2006 One of the better online Homebrew Supply shops. Returns and exchanges are handled very expeditiously. | | Ibrew2or3 (161), Safety Harbor, Florida | | August 9, 2006 So far I’ve had excellent service from these folks. I’ve ordered bulk extract, pellet hops, specialty grains and White Labs yeast. It has shown up here in FL fresh and in a timely manner. Selection of ingredients and hardware is second to none, really. The only negative I have is that this place isn’t down the street from where I live. Also I make a point of only ordering when the daytime high temps are under 85F. FedEx and UPS stuff, when ordered in the heat of summer (in general), show up in FL very very warm. Contents of boxes hit at least 120F. | | ChillCoat (43), Concord, California | | May 4, 2005 I’m lucky enough to live close by but they do a huge mail-order/internet business as well. VERY helpful and friendly staff. Their catalog is a wealth of knowledge in itself! Oh, and they do sell White Labs. | | howie (18), DeForest, Wisconsin | | October 15, 2004 [ Updated November 17, 2005 ] Huge inventory, fast turnover so ingredients are fresh. Helpful, knowledgable staff (call, don’t email). Haven’t received shipping comfirmation on my last several orders, which is annoying, but I can check the status online. They sell a Maris Otter extract, which I like. No White Labs yeast. Free shipping on orders over $50. I order from here any time I need $50 or more worth of stuff. Norther Brewer in St. Paul otherwise. |
