HighWine (4), , California does not count | | August 17, 2008 The best selection of beers I’ve found in the Bay Area. Their current inventory is better than City Beer Store. | budobrewery (1), , California does not count | | July 28, 2008 Good selection of craft and import beers. Got St. Bernadus 60th anniversary Abt 12 here, as well as Pliny the Elder bottles. | | fidel (17), Livermore, California | | July 12, 2008 Good selection of hard to get brewerys, and cool seasonals. Not much help. | Nik925 (8), California does not count | | July 9, 2008 [ Updated August 5, 2008 ] They have got some weird stuff, second only to the city beer store for variety in the Bay area. My source for Stone, Pizza Port, Lost Abbey, and Russian river. Expect a 10%-15% markup from them over bev-mo or other stores. Also, they have the worst hours, the like close at 7 or 8pm ? However, the awesome variety more than makes up for it. Also, 75% of the time the staff really likes beer and know their stuff. | | AgentSteve (43), SF Bay Area, California | | April 8, 2008 Decent selection of craft and import. A few things I haven’t seen anywhere else, but not highly sought after things. Lady had no idea what was where or if something would be available when I asked. | | DTM (10), Winters, California | | February 21, 2008 WOW!! This place is located next to Safeway in a shopping center. I would have never believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes. Great selection of brews you can’t find very easily. Hair of the Dog, Avery and St. Bernardus are prime examples. Could definately blow a ton of cash here. | | Taverner (49), San Ramon, California | | January 31, 2008 Great selection, including Averys, Stones (Including their Black IPA), and even Port! The guy there is really helpful and explained how hard it is to get AleSmith out here and why. | beer_sucks (3), does not count | | January 20, 2008 incredible selection. If you want any advice on the beer, go on mondays when their beer buyer is there. any other time you are on your own. | | Ibrew2or3 (131), Safety Harbor, Florida | | October 17, 2007 Very nice selection. This place buckled my trip beer budget and I’ll most likely regret not buying more (yep, it was one of those ‘kid in a candy store’ type experiences). The little six ounce Drake’s bottles are a buck or more expensive than Ledger’s but the Russian River Sanctification was actually a buck cheaper. Wow, lots of HoTD, locals, NoCal brews and ’05 and ’06 Fuller’s Vintage Ales. I’d been looking for the ’05. Also very nice Stone selection lots of Belgian options. The help was friendly and knowledgeable. | | bhensonb (244), Woodland, California | | July 8, 2007 Only found it thanks to ratebeer. So thanks. Quite a selection. Many, but not all, beers are broken from six packs. What jimmyboy said, but lots of Flying Dog as well. The hard to find are limited as to number purchaseable per day. Not so many as Bottleworks or Johns Market, but it is great, and it is a valuable addition to the area, where it ranks near Ledgers Liquors in Berkeley. | View Page : 1 2
