Spanish Italianate brewpub? Beer is definitely better than some. Particularly the IPA. The pilsener is rather good as well. This time the staff was marvelously attentive. Food has always been good. Only downside is that the ales are served at Bud temperature.

I visted here around noon on a Saturday. At the time, it was very dead with only about 2 or other 3 at the bar. The first thing that hits you is the wonderful wood fire aroma from their pizza oven. It is somewhat spacious with plenty of dining tables and the bar is to the left. Behind the bar is the brewing equipment with the fermentation tanks, etc. There is a fair amount of light that comes through. There is also a wall of "Mug Club" mugs. To your right is the open kitchen. They had about 6-7 beers present on tap. I ordered a black angus beef stew served in a bread bowl--it was delicious. They had a pretty good menu and good selection. It was somewhat difficult managing all the little side streets at the mall, so getting there was a little tricky. They also had frosty mugs and they tried putting fruit in my hefe. They also had half growlers and sold a bombers of their Red and Golden Ale. All in all, this place was good and the beers were above average.

This was a nice surprise. Ive been there in August 2003, and this was a run of the mill BP. In August 2005, they have Nick Campbell as brewer, and he makes excellent beers, bottle conditionned and kegs. The service was friendly, and the manager offered a few free sample of their bottled beer. The food menu is good, had the Smoked Salmon Fish and Chip. Do stop here!
