Cory (2), , California does not count - explanation | | August 18, 2008 The food is pretty good but the atmosphere is a lot of fun. Customers are mostly locals but the friendly kind. Their selection has a good set of beers with a roatation of seasonal ales. The staff give the place a lot of energy which makes the experiance even better. Great time and great beer. | rkuhnel (4), Eureka, California does not count - explanation | | April 8, 2007 I go here occassionally, and there is no WalMart here. It is located just off the 101 Freeway and sits between a couple hotels. Lots of parking and a nice 30’ long bar and lots of tables. Service is always excellent and the staff is very friendly. They have an excellent selection of beers. The last time I was there I had their Fish and Chips, and the fish was about as good as you can ask for. Very nice atmosphere, better than average brewpub food, and an outstanding seleciion of beers makes this a place a beer lover will really enjoy. Their Ravens Eye Imperial Stout and Triple Exultation Old Ale are worth trying, and I also like their Organic IPA. | | acrdz (544), Boulder, Colorado | | December 14, 2004 This place is stuck in a large grassy field, behind a WalMart or something, but not as bad as it sounds. Has a lodge and cabin feel to the inside, with a medium sized outdoor seating area/beer garden with copious amounts of hanging foliage. On our visit the service was slow and there were many mistakes made, even though there was not high traffic. The beer was decent, not outstanding, and the food was the same. It was worth a stop while traveling north on the freeway heading towards Arcada/Eureka, but it was hell to find coming off of the freeway. |
