September 22, 2008 The beer is pretty good. Don’t expect the employees to know anything about beer or a beer experience. The food have gotten much better recently as they have gone away from the fancy ’California’ style and went to a more bar type food options. Sure do miss the days way back when they had the dart boards. |

July 12, 2008 A nice place downtown Hayward. Great Pizzza and nice selection of food. Some strange or exotic beer selections like the pumpkin ale, but a couple i really like. |

April 20, 2008 I enjoy visiting this place when I get the chance. The staff is friendly and service is good for the bay area. I like the Oatmeal Stout the best. I have been going there for a few years and have seen some seasonal beers but I think it is time they change or add some different beers. |

February 27, 2008 Overall, not bad. The beers are OK - although their flagship is their pumpkin ale (which I hate). The food is good bistro fare - not bad. |

November 18, 2007 This is a cool place in an old brick building located in the quaint little downtown area of Hayward. Fun atmosphere, busy, lots of classic rock over the speakers with a group of small brewing vats. The beer isn’t amazing and the food looked good although I didn’t have any. |

September 3, 2007 This is the jewel of Hayward! Sadly, that’s not hard to achieve. I grew up in and around Hayward, and it sucks. Seriously, though, BB is a really cool place, and everything about it is well done. Good job. |

August 2, 2006 Large brewpub with a patio and a plain nothing special feel. The service was’nt terrible but my glass went dry a couple times and they were’nt busy. The beer selection is typical brewpub at about 6 beers. The food was good but overpriced just like the beer. Not terrible but not worth a special trip. |

December 10, 2004 Went here after the bistro. Nice changeup in beer selection, the oatmeal stout was prety good. The blueberry stout was like stout pancakes. It’s a large place, long bar, lots of seating, mixed crowd, not too crowded(it was a thursday). I prefer the beers here to the more ultra hopped varieties elsewhere, I ’m a malt fan. I carried home a growler of the oatmeal stout from this place, the price was incredibly reasonable. |
