7 reviews for Dempsey’s Restaurant & Brewery
| Lubiere (177), Ottawa, Ontario | | August 30, 2009 Simple looking brewpub in a non-descript neighboorhood, in a strip mall. Nice and homey decoration, with warm colours, but rather silent staff. The beers are honest, but lacklustre. 6 taps available, 75 cents a sample. Visited August 16 2009. | | Rastacouere (475), Montréal, Quebec | | July 7, 2009 The brewery is not all that remarkable at the rear of a dull mall, but takes advantage of its terrace by the river walk and from then, the experience becomes interesting. It’s a fancier than average brewpub that pretty much fits the touristy, relaxed wine country atmosphere. While the selection was not very large, the beers had the merit of not being all that predictable with the strong ale reaching... Californian hop levels. Still, it’s not a place I’d spend an evening in, but since it’s pretty much on the way between SF and Russian River... | | ratman197 (104), Arvada, Colorado | | September 19, 2008 Bright upscale pub. The service was better than expected as I stand out like a t#$d in a punch bowl at upscale places. Service was better than a lot of lower scale places I’ve been. The beer selection was average with 6 beers all well made but boring the exception being the 2004 vintage Barleywine. Did’nt eat as the food sounded to foofoo for my tastes. | | mtoast (10), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | March 9, 2008 Visited on a Wednesday afternoon in January, 2007. Located in the back of a stripmall, very cozy atmosphere, dark colors and lots of iron sculptures. Beer was about average, Red Rooster was probably the highlight, food was pricey but pretty good. | | pantani (65), Salinas, California | | May 28, 2006 This place is pretty nice, great food. Beer selection is ok, worth trying, but not visiting a lot. | | joet (43), Fulton, California | | May 21, 2006 Nice place on the Petaluma river walk. I found the prices very reasonable considering the area. The food was ok but the lcoal standard is high. Service was great. This is nor a beer drinker’s paradise but the brew-by-numbers brewpub offerings are well done though unexciting. | | fordest (62), Santee/San Diego, California | | April 14, 2006 Stumbled into this place while on vacation. Pretty nice place. They accepted the whole family, even my crazy kids so that was nice. The food was really good, but on the expensive side. Not a lot to choose from, wish I had had more time to sample more of the beer. |
