While this place lacks that something the Carlsbad location has, this location is right off of the beach. A great selection of beers made there as well as a good amount of guest taps. Dank beer and a nice ocean breeze, what more could you ask for.

Finally made it to this PP on may way back from LA. This has the ’medium’ size feel of the three locations (Carlsbad being large and Solana being small). Bars on two levels, and nice outside seating on both levels. Family-friendly place with an arcade and plenty of kids running around. I stuck mostly to the smaller 2nd level bar, and was quickly served each time. Good selection of house and guest brews, similar to the other locations. Pizza was great, as usual. No surprise here, this location is similar in style and offerings to its two siblings with arguably a bit more scenic location closer to the coast. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here (or bypass PP Carlsbad), but an excellent pick if you happen to be north of Pendleton.

Drove an hour out to San Clemente last time I was in So Cal, and it was well worth the drive. If a half dozen Pizza Port beers are not enough for you, they even had an AleSmith on tap. Pizza was better than average, but by the time we had pizza I had already drank my way through their offerings so that might not be the most accurate review of the pizza. Going to AleSmith next time I’m down south, but this was second only to the Russian River brew pub for me so far.

parking can be tough, but food and beer are great, numerous good taps in addition to PP stuff, great atmosphere, good service

Spent St. Patrick’s day here.Great Za, and good selection of their own brews along with several guest taps. Great place to hit if you happen to be in town. Go early, gets rather crowded quick.

Visited around lunchtime on Monday, 02/25/08. Two story wooden fixtured building with parking on roof. Place does get busy, but it was dead when I visited this time. If your tolerance for kid noise is low, either stay away or drink that first pint fast. I counted about 20 taps and one hand pumped cask ale. The guest taps were well chosen micros and crafts, and their own beers are well made, if not always exceptional. The pizza is a little better than the beer, meaning it’s damned good. I wouldn’t say that you must visit this Pizza Port if it’s well out of your way, but it’s a great place to stop on the way to or from somewhere along Interstate 5 through Orange County. If there were one of these closer to LA, I would visit it relatively often.

OC post SAF brewpub tour: Overall solid selction of Pizza Port mainstay beers, we drank downstairs since the upstairs bar was not open. There was few people so the service was easy and prompt. Some of the sample glasses were a bit soapy which was a downer. Parking could be an issue with more people. Seems in need of some touchup paint and updating. Worth a stop if nearby. (I still like Carlsbad and Solana Beach more.)

Family favorite. Great guest taps and great pizza. Take a growler or Lost Abbey to go!

28 beers on tap, as well as the sale of Lost Abbey/Pizza Port Bottles. San Clemente is a nice hilly beachside town. A bit more quiet than the other two PPs, but kind of out of the way. I still like Carlsbad the best, then San Clemente, then Solana, but all three are wonderful places. Nice place to stop on the way from LA down to San Diego.

This is pretty cool spot. There’s a great little balcony on the second story where you can see the ocean while you drink beer. I didn’t try the food, but the other two pizza ports make a good pizza.
