Blah, Gordon Biersch a chain brewpub, I went here once when I first moved to town and since I’ve basically ignored it as it should be ignored.

Visited on a Tuesday, and the place was packed. Sat at a back table and had a quick beer and sandwich. Beer and food selection was very good with quick service.

Nice place in a great location. Food was good, but nothing special. Service was very good, beers were good.

This is a nice upscale brewpub/restaurant. They always have about a half dozen or so fresh brewed beers plus one or two seasonal brews. The food menu changes frequently, I have visited this place about twice a year for the past 6 years running and I have never looked at the same menu twice. That aside, the food is always very good and that is the real appeal of this place. Of beers I have sampled here the Hefe is very good and authentic, the marzen is mediocre and the alt-bier is exceptional.

Food is good, a little pricey. Really big place but always seems crowded. Always get great service when I’m there.

Pretty much just what you’d expect from a chain brewery. Food and service were average, but the beer was below average. I won’t be back again.

Gordon Biersch is alright to get a few beer that they don’t bottle. It’s not great but it’s alright to grab a brew with some friends. I don’t really dig the vibe though.

i’m not down on gordon biersch but if you have been to the chain elsewhere there really is not reason. espcecially when san diego offers so many other places to indulge in beers. good malty german style beers with more of an upscale food menu.

Situated around Hotel circle, which appears to be an extremely dense area of over-commercialized area of chain restaurants. At least it fits in, yeah? Inside is fairly typical inside. Lots of shiny brass and dark wood, focused decorative lighting. Pasta/Pizza/Burgers for food. Had a swordfish special that was decent. Only 1 seasonal (Vienna). Cool looking beer garden, but it was a bit chilly outside still. This is a very trendy and upscale. Cool view of the large, modern shiny brewing equipment.

First off, I don’t like Gordon Biersch’s beer. Its a telling statement when you see their staff hitting the Bevmo next door to grab beer. The food is good, as is the service and ambiance. Too bad their beer sucks.
