Really cool concept-- a licenced bottle shop! Small (capacity = 49) but fully loaded for beer geeks on a mission (like me). Two large coolers have plenty of cold selections, but most beers are shelved. Mixing 6-packs is encouraged (you get a discount). Excellent range of west coast micros, and equally impressive selection of belgians. Prices are a bit higher than other places, but the vibe is cool and they ONLY stock quality. For a $1 "corkage" fee they’ll open a beer for you to drink while you shop-- gotta love that!

Came in for a short visit to buy a few beers and figured on having a couple at the bar. Very nice selection of limited bottles and the tap list was decent. The staff was friendly and service was good. Bottles were at or below the price seen elswhere, but seeing Angels Share, Cuvee de Tomme and some other Lost Abbey stuff at thirty plus was quite funny.

place is tiny but inviting. very freindly couple that runs the place knows a lot about beer and are always happy to help you. the most novel part is the the combination tasting room bottle shop of course. having a beer on tap for you taste def edges you closer to buying it! and amazing selection with lots of rotation. some prices seem high, but some are much cheaper than many competitors. overall an excellent place to drink, shop, or both!

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this place on the way over. I had heard of the great selection and the tasting bar, but I just didn’t know how it would all play out. Well, it’s crowded and a bit awkward as a bar, but it is 100% beer, so the ambiance doesn’t suffer too much. Great selection with plenty of stuff that you don’t find in most other places in the area. Not the end all of beer store selections, but quite good. A lot of stuff is not cold, so is really only practical for take-out, though now that I think about it they might have a crash chiller, hmm. Prices were steep as a store, but it’s only a dollar corkage fee for any bottle, so it’s a deal as a place to go out and have a beer. I can’t even give a number for value; too confusing. This place is really just a cool concept, though I would probably pick a couple other shops in the greater bay area over it to shop in.

Nice combination of a small beer bar and beer store, quite a new concept. Inside it has an industrial look and feel. I went on a Sunday and the 2-3 tables were full. The selection is great, a combination of american and european beers.

A fun little place - only the second time I’ve been to a combined bottleshop and bar - this one even with easychairs, but besides them and the barstools it was mainly concrete wall and floor and steel fridges and metal shelves - so the ambience of the place is so-so for me. Came in on a late Thursday afternoon and all the chairs were occupied, so I just bought some bottles to take away - after vacuumcleaning CA for beer for more than 10 days I was surprised to find quite a few new ones to me - that is a big heads up on the selection. The prices are maybe a bit higher than other places - but with the USD/EUR exchange rate it is a bargain. I must visit if in SF and in need of bottled beers.

Pretty legit bottle shop/bar with fairly reasonable retail prices with only a $1 corkage fee nice selection of lost abbey, cascade, and some other nice breweries that I’m forgetting. Pretty small place, but relatively cosey for the most part. If I lived in san fran, id hit up that place from time to time fo sho

Russian River, Alesmith, Port, Lost Abbey, Hair of the Dog, Deschutes, Goose Island, Firestone, and many many more. Basically any good brewery is available here. Fantastic service and they even had 5 beers on tap. They had Dogfish Head Festina, Stone 9th, 10th, and 11th on tap. I can’t remember the last one though. If you want some bottles to take home don’t forget this place. Worth the visit. Too bad the place is so small, that’s the only thing bad about it....

A small coasy beer store. I have never seen a selection like that, this must be heaven. Great friendly staff and service. Ofcourse lots of american beers, but also many belgians and 2 danish beers (Mikkeller and Amager). Next time i visit SF I have to come back.
