Spartan decor, plain. Bartenders were cordial and fun to chat with, though not really beer geeks. Beers were not that great, but I didn’t get the feeling it was a very "beery" place so I didn’t expect the world either. It was a little tricky to get to because Petaluma Ave is one-way (seemed odd given the modest size of the town) so you can’t just turn off the main highway onto Petaluma. Not worth going out of your way for, but if you’re heading up to Santa Rosa from a coastal drive, it’s an easy diversion.

Everything’s outstanding but the beer. They’re just getting going and it’s a great looking place with great food and some of the best service I’ve had out here outside of the fancy restaurants. The beer is the brew-by-numbers stuff we’ve all seen too much of way back in the 90s. It’s decent, don’t pass this place up, but they won’t be the guys experimenting with new hops, debuting a farmhouse ale line (would be insanely great in warmer weather), or packing a gargantuan imperial stout for winter.
